Stubcroft Farm Campsite is an award-winning, family-run site close to sandy beaches, dunes and Chichester's pretty harbour. The peaceful site welcomes tents and tourers on level grass and hardstanding pitches, each sheltered by trees and hedges with the option of an electric hook up. Just a 20 minute walk from the glorious Sussex coast, spend days swimming or surfing and evenings unwinding by the fire pit or BBQ.

A friendly site with very clean facilities

We found the staff very friendly and the showers and toilets very clean. It was a pleasant walk on country lanes to Bracklesham Bay and we had lunch at a nice restaurant right on the beach (Billy's). We also walked to East Wittering and had lunch at the Shore Inn (both of these bars were welcoming and very dog friendly!) We also walked along to the sandy beach at West Wittering. We got the bus to Chichester, which is a lovely city with lots of shops & restaurants and, of course, the Cathedral. We were very unfortunate with the weather and we had torrential rain at some point during each day of our stay. It was so bad that the back of our pitch flooded but luckily being in a motorhome, we stayed dry. I think because it was out of season, the shop sold very little and no fresh milk was available. Although they advertised ice cream & coffees, I assume this is just in high season.

The rain was unusually heavy & prolonged during your stay, normally our underground drainage is sufficient to keep the site well drained, but these conditions were exceptional across the country and we have since installed a new drainage pump to adapt to the changing weather patterns and rapidly remove any surface water across the site. On the plus side, the hardstanding pitch you booked did remain useable at all times despite the weather! Thank you for your comments about the shop, you are correct about the shop, during winter there is insufficient demand to stock perishable goods but we still stock a good range of non-perishable items and long life groceries including UHT milk, confectionery, biscuits, tinned goods & pasta etc. There are also plenty of village shops, cafes & eateries only a short walk from the campsite. From the start, the service was great. We had a quick phone call before we had to check in to check our arrival time and give some instructions. The site is clean, tidy and facilities were immaculate. There were friendly staff and informative too. Our hardstanding pitch was great, an extra having fresh drinking water behind the pitch was not expected but great, especially for the dogs. We are definitely looking forward to coming back for another visit.

A delightful campsite, well set up and run. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Facilities were excellent and clean. Everything has been thought of for the comfort of their guests. We will definitely recommend to friends and would love to return.

Stayed two nights in our VW camper with our two daughters (18 months & 5 years). Kids loved it! Excellent staff and facilities. Will be booking again!

We had a lovely stay. Clean, well maintained grounds with helpful friendly staff. The main facilities were spotless however the bio friendly toilets near the Oak field were pretty awful. I understand the contribution to the environment etc, but the solar lights didn't work and they aren't exactly inviting in the middle of the night when you're desperate for the loo! This results in a walk to the main facilities, which isn't great when you're half asleep! Having said that, I'd definitely return. Lovely location and perfect for a short break!

With regards to the old Eco-loos, there is a sign on them saying that they have been superseded by the new amenity block which is only a short walk away. This area is scheduled for re-development soon and contractors will be starting work in the Autumn at the end of the season. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.
