About the site


Located on the edge of Sherwood Forest, Haywood Oaks is a small adult-only site offering four well equipped touring pitches and five glamping pods and cabins. Tourers can enjoy lovely pitches with water and EHUs included, overlooking the fishing pond. For glampers there is a range of luxury studio pod cabins with top notch facilities such as a hot tub and cosy pods. These all include lake views, a double bed and a petite kitchen area plus an ensuite shower. There are three types of pods, starting with the cosy lakeside pod and moving to the lakeside pod plus which has an additional two-seater sofa. There are also VIP studio pod cabins, with views of the lake, which are extremely modern in style with a flat roof design.

There are 7 accommodation options on-site

4 x Touring Pitches

Large all weather touring pitches, with views of the fishing pond, separate parking area, night lighting, electric hook up and water/waste to each pitch.



You will be unable to leave or enter the site from 11pm until 5am as there is a automated security barrier.

Please stay on the paths and within the safe areas -please remember that you are on a shooting ground. The safe areas for walking to and from the Reception to the cabins is between the conifer fence and the wooden benches. Please stay within 5 yards of the conifers

The lake near the woods is deep, please show adequate care and attention. The woods next to the site are public woods but are on a relatively steep hill, again please be careful. Access for walking in the woods is down the main drive and on the right after the horse fields.

Do not forget that you are on a farm, there will be electric fences so be careful what you touch

Nothing other than toilet roll or human waste should be put in the toilet/chemical toilet disposal. Please dispose of sanitary products/wipes in the bins provided.

No BBQs or fires are allowed at this time.

Please adhere to the site speed limit of 5 mph.

Electricity hook up- This is located at the end of your pitch on the green light post with the drinking water tap.

Chemical toilet emptying- All chemical toilets must be emptied at the designated points only. This is located in the centre at the end of your pitch. There is also a designated tap on each pitch for cleaning your chemical toilet. Please help us to be 'green' by only using environmentally friendly chemicals.


A number of outdoor activities on the park - not least the adjoining Nottingham and District Gun Club - provide a good opportunity to learn a new skill, as well as to relax and unwind. Onsite activities include clay target shooting, archery, fishing, and 9 hole golf course.

Sherwood Forest, Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park and the picturesque towns of Southwell, Newark and Edwinstowe are all within easy reach.

Nottingham is nearby, offering these amazing sights:
