Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park provides a peaceful adult only base for exploring Somerset, ten minutes from Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves. Grass and hardstanding pitches welcome tents and tourers alike, each with an electric hook up. Within a 20 minute walk of a farm shop and pubs, there is plenty to discover on foot too. Dogs are also welcome, with plenty of nearby walking routes to enjoy!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass PitchesApr 2023

Rodney Stoke was our first overnight stay in our campervan and I fully recommend the site. From Tom greeting us upon arrival and giving us all the information we needed to the location and facilities available. Excellent shower block along with a pot room and Elsan point. The site was very clean, tidy and well maintained. Very quiet area and ideal for Cheddar and Wookey Hole, not far to Wells and not too far from Glastonbury.

Relaxing stay

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Feb 2023

We were welcomed by Tom, who was very friendly and welcoming. The shower facilities were spotlessly clean and warm. The site was relaxing and quiet. There is a pub that you can eat and have a drink. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Great place to stay

Did what it says on the tin, had nice quiet time and hope to come back next year - if not sooner!

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2022

Chose this location for the long weekend away and I was blown away by the quality and friendliness of this site!! Tom is an amazing manager and one of the nicest people we met, ensured we had everything and was great to share recommendations. Facilities were great, very clean and made you feel like your were in a 3* hotel. Very clean campsite and located well for Cheddar Gorge. I would recommend everyone to visit the Cider Barn, a very friendly bunch with great vibes. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and will be back regularly!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2022

Excellent small and quiet site, clean and very secure. Great for dogs and lovely walks. Clean facilities and a super helpful manager. The pub wasn't open, which is disappointing, not many other eateries in walking distance.

OK but a bit disappointing

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2022

It was a pity that the pub was closed as that was the reason we booked the site, it would have at been nice to warn us. We found another pub to walk to which was nice but didn't do food. The site was disappointing because although it is in a lovely area, there are no views from it - only conifer hedges. Also we don't think being greeted with a long list of rules rather than any useful information was very friendly.

Great site

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass PitchesMar 2022

This was our first visit. A beautiful site ideally located for the Gorge. Visit buses are not every hour however, as advised. The toilets and showers were clean, but a shame to be charged extra. Would rather the charge was added at the time of booking because we don't carry cash! Very friendly hosts and beautiful surrounding area.
