Beautiful campsite, very clean and tidy facilities. Warm pool, which both my teenage and toddler children enjoyed. Food tasted delicious, with variety of gf and vegan options. Peaceful, no noise and staff very welcoming & friendly.
Great apart from Wi-Fi

Good site with great facilities for kids with a swimming pool and outdoor play, however there was scope for improvement. We found that the Wi-Fi signal was non-existent (when connected it didn't work and dropped out), and the phone signal was limited on Three and EE. This made it very difficult to do anything that required a phone or internet. This was super disappointing given we had hoped it would be great, to allow daytime play and evening work. The facilities weren't clean in the morning after the night before. I thought they offered a kids club - one of the reasons for booking, but there was no kids club and all kids activities required a parent to attend. We will return, but I hope they resolve these issues.
Really, really nice

Was our first time stopping at the park, and found it an excellent site. Camping pitches were well spaced and didn't feel cramped. Facilities on the site were far better than expected. Went for a lovely long walk round the surrounding forest. Will definitely be coming back!

Lovely clean campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities superb. Only negative, the plots are a little tight for longer and bigger caravans/motor homes.

Lovely site. Very clean beautiful swimming pool. Activities were a bit expensive & only lasted 30 minutes. Staff very friendly & helpful. Camping pitches were a very good size. Beautiful meadow to walk in.

Excellent pool and restaurant. Could have done with more people serving on the bar, especially for breakfast.

Huge pitches and loads of space between caravans. Fabulous swimming pool. Direct access into the forest which is superb for dog walking, or even walking without a dog. Access into and out of the site is easy. Will definitely be returning.

This was our first time staying at Whitemead. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning. The place was clean, with plenty to do there. Swimming pool, restaurant/bar, entertainment (including bingo). Showers are nice and hot as well. We had an electric pitch, for 2 adults, 1 child aged 9 and our small dog. The only downside was how muddy it was getting in and out of the tent. We knew this would be expected with having bad weather on the first day, but it was literally like a puddle, we couldn't really put our chairs up outside the tent because it was too bad. Could maybe do with some gravel or something to help, but other than that we had a great time.
Brilliant stay

This is the best site we've stayed at so far in our vw campervan. The pitches were clean and spacious. We had a hardstanding pitch and our strong tent pegs for the awing went straight in and was still comfortable underfoot. The on site facilities and staff were perfect. Free hair dryers in the shower block. Lots of room at the washing up stations. Swimming pool and jacuzzi onsite were spotlessly clean and the swimming pool is full size. There's also a steam room and gym. The bar and restaurant were perfect. Plenty of delicious snacks to choose from. There's a shop with all of the usual bits. I cannot speak highly enough of this place! Plenty of hikes to do from the site in any direction. The Dean railway station is right outside as well as a bike hire shop if you fancy trying out any of the many local trails. We will definitely be returning. If you are looking for a luxury camping break, look no further!

This was our first time at Whitemead. The site is excellent despite being enormous. It has lots of open spaces and must be wonderful for children during the summer months. The facilities such as pool, restaurant, bar and shop were superb as were the shower blocks and waste disposal. We were helped by a staff member when our motorhome awning got stuck due to the snow lying on top. This is by far the best value for money site we have been to anywhere considering all the facilities were included in the price.

We've been looking for ages to find a site that offers a similar level of entertainment, good food and lovely surroundings as a well-known group of lodge resorts, but something we can stay in our camper at, and we've finally found it! We ate out every lunch and dinner and this was still cheaper than other holiday lodges and we easily managed to entertain the kids with the mix of activities, walks and the pool! The facilities were lovely, the pitches were spacious and the food was lovely! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars in every area was that the swimming pool was freezing, other than that 10 out of 10 site. I will add that signal wise is a complete blackspot, no bars of anything- there was some Wi-Fi, but that was flakey at best. There's so much to do that this didn't really bother us, but I'm sure it would have some teens pretty disgruntled.
