Just had a lovely three night break here. I normally go for quiet sites and was a bit shocked to find out there was a bank holiday event going on - it was extremely busy however the site was kept clean and tidy throughout. Everyone appeared to abide by the quiet times and there were plenty of toilets. I was very impressed with the organisation and management of this site in such a beautiful part of the world with loads of walks from the site.

We had a brilliant weekend at Barn Farm on May Bank Holiday weekend. Came with a family group, the campsite was extra busy, but the staff were amazing to accommodate everyone. We never waited a long time for toilets or showers. We had the extra bonus of some bands playing over the weekend, who were really good. The kids all had a great time.

For somewhere so reasonable, the facilities were great - very clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and approachable, happy to help. The campsite itself was lovely and in a brilliant location close to Matlock and Bakewell. All of the events were extremely reasonably priced and the set up for the coronation was brilliant. There was so much for the children to do and it was great how they did different things on different days. Barn Farm is just a genuinely nice place to be which we I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning to, so much so we've just booked to go on the next bank holiday!
Lovely site - no complaints here

Lovely little site - hadn't realised there was a mini bank holiday festival here when we booked but this was a bonus for us; didn't mind a bit of music etc but was obviously much busier than we expected, so a slightly different break than we were expecting. Facilities clean and were being cleaned all the time - a little shop for essentials and a pool table and badminton for the teen! The village is lovely, with a couple of nice pubs and the scenery is beautiful. Staff were friendly and even though the festival was on, the noise after 11 was minimal. No complains about the site! Being a bank holiday, all the local towns were heaving and parking was a nightmare - wish we had looked into buses as spent far to long in the car! An enjoyable stay all round.
Great place!

What a site, just what we needed. Right in the countryside, but only 4 miles from Matlock. There are several other places to visit as well. The site was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. There are lots of walks from the campsite or bike rides. There are 2 pubs just 5 minutes walk away. We will be back.

Excellent facilities, pleasant staff. Clean and well maintained. Easy walking, access to moor. Bus service to Matlock or Bakewell, in village. Good pub, 'The Druid' within walking (800 yds) distance. Good food, beer, local cocktails, family and dog friendly, both Staff and locals. Recommend Pie of the Day or daily specials, which include first drink some nights. Site puts on entertainment and food stalls on certain weekends.

From the warm welcome to the concern that another (young) group might cause disturbance, the management of our stay was first class. The facilities were kept in top condition all day and were more than adequate for a very comfortable stay. The adults only shower block was a great idea. The location would be hard to beat and the weather was warm and sunny during our stay. An ideal location for walking Stanton Moor and enjoying the views, ancient monuments, along with the Summer birdlife. I would thoroughly recommend this campsite.

Grass with electric pitches are distant from toilets, but all facilities good. Good site for stunning Derbyshire scenery, plus peacocks and alpacas on site. Good shop on site.

Not our first stay here, but such a marvellous location and with all the facilities you need! Be aware the (well stocked and good priced) shop doesn’t open on a Sunday, but otherwise it’s such a scenic place to rest and relax - and the local pub isn’t too far to walk either. Will be back again.

Staff were really friendly, wasn't expecting the peacocks! A lovely campsite with good shower and toilet facilities. They also opened the shop on a Saturday when it was really warm.

Convenient and very clean and tidy facilities. Very well kept campsite in a beautiful location with friendly staff. Ideal location for visiting Chatsworth too. We have stayed here every year for several years, it is very good value for money.

Our second time staying at Barn Farm, absolutely loved it. It’s always clean, the staff are always friendly and helpful. Will be returning again very soon. Close to lovely walks, nice pubs and the shop on site is very reasonably priced. Shower block was spotless, toilets always clean. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Lovely stay, great to be able to choose where we pitch. Nice flat field. Toilets clean however out of paper in every cubicle most of the time, even after reporting to staff members. Bank holiday activities were great for kids. Easily accessible to good walks from the site. Sleep was not good however due to music being played and loud talking and shouting from next door tent and also from 2 very large DofE groups. Shame this was not kept under control by the steward. We've stayed here twice before and it was not like this, so probably would put it down to a busy weekend.

Very well located campsite for local walks and trips to neighbouring towns (Bakewell/Matlock etc). Facilities at the campsite (toilets, showers, shop, games room) are excellent. Onsite car, butty van, pop up pasta kitchen and pancake stall were all really good. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
