We had a great stay at Sedgewell barn. Very peaceful and quiet, pod had everything you need. The stars at night were amazing! we all loved the hot tub. would recommend!

just arrived home after a 2 night stay in the Maundy Wigwam and loved almost everything about it. The only thing I would say that wasn't perfect were the beds, which were a little bit uncomfortable. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to a mattress, so won't say it's complaint, just choice of preference.

Booked a pod for bank holiday weekend. There was great communication upfront, and it was very informative. The pods are well laid out, equipped with everything you need for a short break. Clean, peaceful, and private. The nearby town is 10 minutes by car, and a pub serving good food in walking distance. We will definitely book again.

We have honestly had the best weekend ever! The accommodation was faultless, everything was to hand and easily accessible, the Wigwam was super clean and surprisingly spacious. The added hot tub was well worth the extra money, we made use of the honesty box which was a lovely idea. We opted to purchase an additional fire box as the kids thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on an evening toasting marshmallows, we can't wait to come back again very soon.

Me and my partner had booked this for his belated birthday weekend. We were absolutely thrilled at the location of the pod, was so quiet with plenty of wildlife and farm animals to greet you. The jacuzzi was beautiful, our only fault was that you couldn't change the temperature, I think there should be a setting for adults to change the temp but it was nice to relax in nevertheless. Really close to the town and went for the bonfire at Applegarth. Was incredible, will always recommend this to all of our friends and family.

Such a lovely stay in a deluxe en-suite wigwam pod. Beautiful location with great views across fields. It is down a long lane, so out of the way. So peaceful and a lovely outdoor seating area at the front of the pod where the BBQ also is; as well as plenty of surrounding grass to make use of. A lovely spot to relax and take in the views/read a book/have your morning coffee! The pod was great; spacious and had everything you could need for your stay. Pods are well spaced out too. Perfectly placed between both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors so we had a drive to both during our stay and found some beautiful walks and places to visit. Also plenty of local walks and pubs to visit. I bought a fan for the pod, which cooled it down nicely as I took my labrador who struggles a bit in the heat and I somehow ended up choosing a very hot week to visit 😅 A friend and her little girl stayed with us for one night and they also loved it. Perfect for solo visits, couples, families with children of all ages and dogs! Definitely recommend a stay here. A lovely little escape and will definitely be back.

Lovely location, good as a base to get to North Allerton, Thirsk and Ripon Centres. Ideal location for families with dogs - just wish I'd found the walks out into the nearby fields and beyond earlier in our stay. Came across one route on our last morning before heading home. The dog loved running through the fields, the kids enjoyed their time in the hot tub. The Wigwam we stayed in was clean & tidy and everything we expected. Was nice doing a BBQ on the fire pit and then toasting marshmallows when it came dark outside. Was nice for the kids to add to their experience. We are already thinking about our next trip to a wigwam, we enjoyed it that much. Would definitely recommend here and would book again. Thanks again for a nice weekend away.

We had a lovely, peaceful weekend. Service was excellent, pods clean and a nice touch with a bottle of fizz. Kids loved the hot tub and park. Loved the wild meadow full of poppies and wild cornflowers. Pub is excellent, great Sunday roast with brilliant service, only a ten minute walk. We will definitely return.

Just returned from a fabulous, relaxing short stay at Sedgewell Barn. Superb stay, could have stayed longer. Great views, comfortable accommodation, well equipped kitchen. Bedding was provided but could've done with additional pillows (only 2 for double). Otherwise, perfect getaway!

We went away for 2 nights as it was my birthday. The site is very easy to find on a satnav, and your pod has its own parking spot, which is ideal. Very cosy inside with all the facilities you need, everything worked ideally. Only thing we struggled with was getting the BBQ fire pit going so we gave up in the end but sausages just as nice on the hob. Otherwise all very good. Hot tub was amazing, ready and warm for us when we arrived. Cute little cats roaming around who belong to the owners. Lovely pub just round the corner and you can have a nice walk through the fields etc. Overall, a lovely little trip, would definitely come back.

Beautiful setting, peaceful, all the amenities we needed. We have never lit more fires or soaked in the hot tub so many times in 2 days!!! Ha ha. Our children loved every minute of it. Thank you so much, Christine & Jaco.

The site was extremely quiet and very peaceful. The pod was spotless and felt like a real home from home. The hot tub and fire pit were great additions and contributed to a very relaxing stay. The only thing missing was a bottle opener!

We had a lovely break but the sofa was uncomfortable, as was the bed. The information on the walks does need some work - distances, terrain etc. It would also be great if it included landmarks. The hot tub was lovely and it was nice to have a fire pit. The info before arrival was great.

This is a lovely secluded spot which is great for families. If you bring a dog there are some secure fields to walk them in. The hot tub is a great addition. The pod could do with some more clever storage solutions or shelves for items, especially if you are staying with kids. We had to pay extra for the bedding for the children as there are added extras.

I will definitely be visiting again, but for longer next time! Was such a lovely stay, on my way there I received a call to wish me a nice stay. Getting there was even better than I expected. It was beautiful, around the pods and in the pods. I loved that it was designed in a way you had everything you could possibly need and the honesty shop being just next door, we could grab some eggs- fabulous. So peaceful and fresh, I couldn't have asked for much more.
