Featuring riverside trails, tussock grasses and wildflower meadows, Hatters Meadow provides both wild camping and rustic glamping. The site is located just outside of Ely, a lively cathedral city in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Offering electric touring and camping pitches, a wild camping field, timber glamping units and a cosy glamping cabin, there's something to suit families, friends, couples, solo travellers and four legged friends alike.

About Hatters Meadows

Whether you're seeking a rustic glamping experience or a more traditional camping escape, there's something for all tastes at this nature oasis in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Fens. The site offers electric pitches for tents and tourers, non-electric pitches for tents only and a separate field for wild camping. Each pitch is grassy, spacious and has its own name, adding a touch of charm to your stay. In the wild camping field, pitches offer views of Ely cathedral and private campfires for stargazing or toasting marshmallows. Glampers are also spoiled for choice, with three timber glamping units and a cosy glamping cabin available to hire. All three timber glamping units are family friendly and pet friendly and furnished with one double bed and two single beds (with the possibility to add a fifth guest on a sofa bed), a kitchenette and a log burner. Better suited for a romantic getaway, the glamping cabin sleeps two on a king size double bed and is fitted with a kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, log burner and more. This unit is also dog friendly. The owners have worked hard to create a site that truly celebrates the surrounding wildlife. As such, the natural environment has been carefully enhanced, developing a plain field with tussocky grasses, wildflowers, trees and hedges that provide privacy for guests and habitats for wildlife. Environmental protection is a major focus here, so expect facilities powered by renewable energy, recycling points and eco-friendly products. With higgledy paths connecting pitches between the Meadow, open spaces for ball games and direct access to the River Ouse, there's plenty to entertain you onsite. However, you're also well-placed for exploring nearby cities, towns and cultural attractions. As the second smallest city in the UK, Ely is easy to explore by foot. You're also half an hour from bustling Cambridge and Suffolk's Newmarket. Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided.

Cabin of Hearts is open all year round while with timber glamping tents and camping and touring pitches are available from the first weekend in April to the end of October.
