About Acorn Camping and Glamping

Set in Luxulyan Valley, this eco friendly site offers a relaxed family friendly hideaway in the Cornwall countryside. Surrounded by woodland, guests can enjoy magical walks with plenty of wildlife to spot thanks to the site's bat boxes, and bird and insect houses. For those wanting to camp, there are a total of 14 non electric grass pitches welcoming tents only. Set on a gently sloping field, guests can choose between 4.3m x 4.3m or 6m x 6m pitches, with a separate area for group with its own fire pit. If glamping is more your style, there is a great range of fairytale style accommodations to choose from. For groups of up to four, there are two 4m x 4m along with a 6m x 4m bell tent for up to eight. Each tent has sleeping mats, plus an outdoor decking with a table and chairs and a full camping kit with a gas stove, cooking equipment, crockery and more. Sleeping up to four, there is a glamping cabin kitted out with a double futon and two sleep mats. Inside you will find benches, two tables, two stoves, a lantern and a camping kit with a kettle, gas stoves, crockery and utensils. There is also a sheltered cooking area outside, with its own private loo and shower nearby. Two glamping huts also welcome up to three guests, featuring a double bed, single futon, kitchen unit, mirror and a lantern. The side doors will take you out on to a decked area with seating, and shared facilities can be found within the nearby camping field. To be transported straight into the set of a film, opt for the cosy glamping burrow under the woodland canopy. Suitable for up to two, the burrow boasts a unique round doorway, with seating that converts to a double bed, a wooden chest, seating, lighting, a small mirror and an outdoor fire pit. If you are searching for a romantic stay, the site also has two shepherd's huts set in a secluded area of the arboretum. Each sleeps up to two with a futon bed, dresser, table, chairs, battery lighting, camp stoves, crockery, and cooking equipment along with a shared 'tree bog' and drinking water tap. For the ultimate hideaway, the snook glamping cabin offers its own wood barrel sauna, changing room and an outdoor shower to cool off. Set amongst a private terraced garden, you will have your own outdoor seating area, fire pit and an undercover cooking area with two gas stoves. Inside, the cabin comes fully furnished with a double bed, table, seating, soft furnishings, and a mirror. You will have your own private loo a 20m walk away, and be provided with all of the kitchen essentials including crockery, pots, pans, washing up liquid, a lantern and a kettle. Please note, bedding is not included and all of the glamping units are off-grid, therefore they do not have mains electric or heating. This site is dog free due to the wildlife.

Acorn Camping and Glamping is open from 29/03 to 30/11 in 2024 and from 28/03 to 29/09 in 2025.

Glamping Cabin - Shepherd's HutsAug 2024

We stayed in a shepherds hut and it was lovely. Quiet enough to have privacy without being isolated. Arguably the best outdoor facilities on a campsite of this size.

We will be back
