Longthorns Farm offers the perfect place for camping or glamping in the heart of Dorset and close to the famous Jurassic Coast. Spacious pitches offer a relaxed atmosphere with campfires, star gazing and much needed quiet time - with the odd tank rumbling by or morning call from the gibbons next door at Monkey World. The site is on a small working alpaca and cattle farm and has plenty of woodland walks.

Picked at random due location close to The Tank Museum - a superb site! Booking was seamless and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Facilities excellent and cleanliness was of a very high standard. We booked a grass pitch with EHU for a largish Motorhome with another pitch for two small tents - 5 people in total. I was initially concerned about the grass pitch given recent rainfall but site was very well drained and my 3.8 tonne vehicle had no access or egress problems. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and that's without mentioning the Alpacas which were lovely.

A spacious campsite run by a very welcoming and friendly couple. A small onsite shop, evening food available and a bar area. What's not to like! Great for my young family (6yr old and 8yr old). Soft ground as well for some easy pegging!

This was our 2nd time staying here and we will definitely return again. The campsite is run by a lovely family who keep the site extremely clean. On site, there's a small shop, bar, woodland area, alpaca's and the added bonus of a large field to run your dog off their lead. Food can also be ordered for an evening meal. The campsite location is perfect if you like to explore and enjoy days out. There is so much to do all within minutes from the campsite. Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove & Castle, Kimmeridge, Corfe Castle and Swanage are just a few to name. We are happy to say we have had another fab stay here.
Everything you could wish for and a whole heap more!

Our family chose to stay at Longthorns and we really couldn't have wished for a better stay. The whole site was set out really well, with different areas for different campers. All of the areas are very spacious, with lots of room for your pitch plus a large area in the middle for people to play in. The owners were absolutely amazing and really made our stay. There really wasn't enough that they could do to make our stay a really special one. We were allocated the Alpaca Field, which was very close to the facilities, Alpacas and Rocky the Shetland pony! At Longthorns, there is an on-site shop, with items for those camping emergencies, local food (the venison burgers are sublime and local ice-creams delicious) and general food items, all at a very reasonable price. The toilets and showers were clean and there is also a great little 'washing up area' for campers to use. During peak periods; Longthorns have freshly cooked take-out food that you can book on the day, plus an on-site Parlour. You can also book Alpaca meet and greets and Alpaca walks! There is also a really nice and peaceful Woodland Walk and a large Dog field for your 4-legged friends to run around in. Monkey World is a safe and family-friendly 5 minute walk away, well worth a visit while you are based at Longthorns Farm. We also took a 15-20 minute drive to the coast to see the amazing Durdle Door. So much on the doorstep, and we could have stayed another week if we had more time off work.

Arrived about 5.30pm, there was no one to greet you or show you to where to park. Tried to phone the number, said office is now closed. Spoke to another camper and she was told to park on shingle as the field was a bit waterlogged so we also parked here. Toilet, shower and washing up facilities were spotless, however there seemed to be no running water. Would be a lovely place to use in the Summer.

The location has to be good as it's in Dorset. The site was pristine, very well looked after and absolutely spotless. Toilets and showers were both very good and a there's a great little shop/reception. We got a warm welcome from the girl in the reception who was very helpful with the layout and my pitch number. Can't knock the place whatsoever, also great waking up to the sound of the howler monkeys next door, would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We had a fabulous stay. Very friendly, clean, safe and fantastic location. Short drive to local beaches and plenty of places to visit nearby. The on site pub and click and collect were a bonus. Would 100% go back.

Location is fab, 20 mins from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Monkey World is about 30 seconds, plus lots of other great attractions. Staff work so hard and will do anything to help anyone. There's electric points to charge your phone or blow up electric air beds like we did. You can freeze your freezer blocks in the shop. Pitches are more than big enough for any tent, not all cramped in. Showers are big and clean. Toilets are clean. Washing up area is kept clean. Only negative for me- the pitches that run along the main pathway are far too noisy all night long and we had constant torch light shining in from people going to the loos. My 3yo woke 7 times in 1 night, not anyone's fault exactly but on my return I will ask to be away from the pathway. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This campsite is in a most idyllic setting. We had a fantastic couple of days. Facilities are very clean and regularly checked. The staff are helpful and friendly. The children absolutely loved the walk with the alpacas. There is very minimal coverage for mobiles but we quite liked this, children just playing outside, no devices.

Spacious, well maintained and beautiful site. Very friendly management, and in close proximity to the Jurassic Coast. The only improvement for us would be to have an area for dogs to have a run.

We absolutely loved our stay at Longthorns Farms. We ended up booking an extra night as weren't ready to go home. The site itself is immaculate and offers very generous pitches. The toilets/shower and washing area are also incredibly clean. Lovely to see the Alpacas, horses and sheep. We went over the Easter and there was a lovely Easter hunt organised in the woods with a little prize at the end for the kids. The location is perfect with walking distance to Monkey World (you can already hear the monkeys). Only 2 mins down the road is the Tank Museum and 15 mins drive away is Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Added bonus is the large enclosed area to run your dog off lead. Beautiful place and most definitely recommend. We are already looking at booking again x

Very nice quiet park with good clean toilets. Close to Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum. The local village of Wool is good, would highly recommend it. The Black Bear is great for food.
