About Hartington Hills
Hartington Hills, formerly Upper Hurst Farm, is a premium touring and camping site with a variety of glamping and holiday accommodation in the heart of the Peak District National Park, celebrated for its top-tier facilities and warm, bubbly hospitality. Run by mother-and-daughter duo Sue and Amy, the site is deeply inspired by its stunning natural surroundings. Their mission is simple: to create a tranquil, elevated escape for guests while staying true to their unwavering commitment to sustainability. This dedication has earned them the prestigious Environmental Quality Mark Award (EQM) year after year. Nestled between Hulme End and the picturesque village of Hartington, where the Staffordshire Moorlands meet the Derbyshire Dales, Hartington Hills offers an idyllic rural retreat with breathtaking 360° panoramic views. Despite its peaceful, elevated setting, the site is just 0.7 miles from a welcoming pub and 1.7 miles from a range of charming village shops and cafes. Ideally located at the heart of the Southern Peak District, guests can easily explore the region`s top attractions and beauty spots. The four major market towns—Bakewell, Ashbourne, Leek, and Buxton—are all within a 10-mile radius, while Chatsworth House and Matlock lie just 12 miles away. The site itself features 25 fully-serviced touring pitches, 15 electric tent pitches, 1 glamping yurt with hot tub, 1 holiday cottage with hot tub and 2 rental caravans. There is a shop on-site selling essentials, a chemical waste disposal point, a recycling area, a dog walk and more. The toilet and shower facilities and second-to-none. They`re comfortable, top-quality and underfloor-heated. There is unlimited hot water supplied by a biomass boiler for the power showers (with no push-buttons!). The staff are friendly and there are hens and miniature shetland ponies on site. There`s a reason people come back time and time again. We look forward to seeing you soon, Amy & Sue. P.s. we're 5-star Visit England rated - there's no higher accolade.
The site is open all year for caravans and tents, while the yurt is available from February until November.

Site rules and policies
We don't allow group bookings; you can book a maximum of two pitches together. This includes bookings that are booked separately online, we can see in our system when guests with different names book separately to try and avoid these rules. Any group bookings of 3 or more units will be cancelled and will be charged a £10 administration fee per booking.
The maximum tent size we can accommodate is 30m2, including any gazebos, annexes or additional structures. If your tent is any bigger, we can't accept your booking. Alternatively, you could pitch on one of our fully serviced pitches where you'll need to pitch on the hardstanding. Please contact us if you'd like us to check your tent size for you, or to enquire about booking a hardstanding pitch.
Dogs must always be on leads, especially dogs with a high prey drive. We have some lovely free-range hens, and we know for some dogs that it's instinctual to try to chase or attack them - the dog can't help it, but you can by keeping them on a lead.
