About Trellyn Woodland Camping

Secluded valley setting with ensuite toilets with all camping and glamping yurts with a wood-fired sauna, two minutes from Abercastle Beach. There are five non electric grass pitches that have plenty of privacy and space for relaxing, each sleeping up to six people and welcoming tents, caravans and small tourers. Additionally, Dandelion and Rockwood are the two woodland pitches with optional 10 amp electric hook up, with a more solid base, these also sleep up to six. Each of the pitches comes with its own ensuite eco loo, so there is no walking across fields in the middle of the night. You will also have an undercover campfire area (plus a grill for some campfire cooking!) and a picnic bench for evenings in the outdoors, even if the weather isn't on your side! If you're looking to avoid the hassle of bringing your own accommodation you can opt for one of the cosy glamping yurts, Starlight, Beachcomber and Wood End. All of the yurts sleep up to six people in a king-size bed, two singles and the option of additional hotel-style sprung mattress. Bedding and bath towels are optional extras. They are decorated throughout and have individual adjacent camp kitchens, eco loos and showers. The Wood End yurt has the added luxury of being not one, but three yurts all combined together to make spacious accommodation. There's individual bedrooms and plenty of room and privacy for all to feel comfortable. Take part in the free weekly pizza making event at the site's very own wood-fired pizza oven, or relax in the onsite wood-fired sauna...the perfect way to unwind. In addition, the site provides free of charge wetsuits, surf boards, sit on kayaks and other beach toys/accessories on a first come first use basis. Campfires are permitted only in the designated fire pits. Sorry but no dogs are allowed on site, unless they are an assistance dog. This site is part of the Greener Camping Club, and at least one person in the party must be a member, but this can be purchased when you book. Membership is valid for the year.

Trellyn Woodland Camping is open from 18/05 to 13/09.

A note from the site themselves...

We are campers ourselves and so we set out to create the perfect site that we'd love to go to. With customers that have been coming back for nearly 20 years we think we're pretty close, so stay with us and you'll discover why.

We take great pride in being surrounded by the beauty of nature, from the birdsong in the mornings to the gentle flowing of our streams. Our little pocket of paradise is home to a variety of species, from butterflies and dragonflies to foxes and peregrine falcons. And that's just on the campsite!

Borrow one of our free-to-use sit-on-top kayaks, take it down to the harbour just a stone's throw away and you'll see various species of seabirds, seals, and other marine life.

Every year, we work hard to improve our campsite by adding, adapting, and planting to bring nature closer to you. We aim to build a habitat that includes the most possible species of fauna and flora and let nature get on with what it does best.

We hope to welcome you to a wonderful getaway nestled in nature soon.
