Longthorns Farm offers the perfect place for camping or glamping in the heart of Dorset and close to the famous Jurassic Coast. Spacious pitches offer a relaxed atmosphere with campfires, star gazing and much needed quiet time - with the odd tank rumbling by or morning call from the gibbons next door at Monkey World. The site is on a small working alpaca and cattle farm and has plenty of woodland walks.

Had a lovely stay. Only issue was that the showers were only tepid and the washroom sinks had cold water. Everything else was great, loved the alpacas.
Highly recommend

What a beautiful site, so peaceful yet close to things you'd want to do and see. Very clean and the hosts were fantastic. There was a gorgeous selection of animals too.

A great place to stay for the weekend with close proximity to Monkey World and the Tank Museum. A lovely little working farm which the kids would enjoy. The owners were friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again.

Really well-kept campsite with great facilities. We had our dog and were pleasantly surprised to find a secure dog field and a small woodland walk on site. Would recommend!

Stayed in a basic little pod. Clean, comfortable, lovely facilities, showers etc and easy booking. Only negative was we felt it needs a nice coffee / drinks service with maybe a few choices and basic breakfast items. They had pizzas to order but you have to order the previous day. 10 mins from Wareham, pet and family friendly. A small children's park would be a bonus but kids would love the alpacas on site. Highly recommended.

Great campsite. Ideally located a short drive from the coast, a short walk from Monkey World, around the corner from the tank museum but also with plenty of features on site including food, a bar, alpaca walks etc. Only minor consideration with the pods we stayed in is that they are basic and quite rustic. They were fine for us as long as you wrap up warm at night but that's the same for all types of camping, I assume. We will try and get back one day for sure.
Stunning little camping stay

This little piece of heaven and was just what me and my daughter needed! We stayed in the eco pod and has the best time! The owners are welcoming, friendly and hard working! All the staff are amazing and the llamas are just gorgeous, as well as Rocky the pony! We will be back! Thanks for an amazing weekend.

A clean and well-run campsite where the management were reliably on-hand. The alpacas add charm to the clean and tidy campsite; guests abided by the rules and were polite and respectful of each other. An army base is nearby, as is a road, so it's not without noise at times. Would still recommend.
Great glamping spot - alpacas were a bonus!

Very pleased with our 3 night weekday stay. Had the place almost to ourselves. Reception/Store was only open at the weekend while it's still quiet, but close enough to go to Wareham for provisions. Host super friendly and welcoming, just called when we needed to check in. Ship Inn was recommended for dinner the first night - close and hit the spot. Tipi tent was roomy with high ceilings. Needed to bring bedding but kitchen had everything we needed to BBQ supper. Highlight for our 4 year old was definitely petting the alpacas and the friendly pony. Even saw fox in the field. Very quiet, except for when the tanks and helicopters were training at the base nearby. Parachutes and a wave from the helicopter pilot was quite exciting. Great base to go fossil hunting at the beach one day and explore Corfe Castle the next. Highly recommend!

What a weekend! kids (11,9,2) loved it! Myself too... Super location close to the sea and a lot of activities. Large field with all needed. Owners are super nice! If you love animals then it's the place book. Very friendly alpacas all. Loved to meet and great! Will definitely come back!

Great location, spacious pitches and pleasant staff. Lots of bins and recycling. The woodland walk is very nice - saw deer running around. Great for dog walking and a nice walk to Monkey World. Showers are roomy and water nice and hot. Loved the alpacas too. Toilet facilities a bit stretched over bank holiday weekend - I don't think cleaning regime could keep up with usage as they were quite dirty on the Monday morning. There were also no laundry facilities.

Fantastic time on a fab site. Things that were really great - onsite bar where you could borrow glasses, great shop with fresh croissants, alpacas, very clean facilities. The only minor thing was the hand soap in the loos was a little bit rubbish. I took a bottle in with me which was a bit of a pain. Only a tiny, tiny whinge and we will defo come again, but just a mention to let you know. But totally awesome otherwise x

Picked at random due location close to The Tank Museum - a superb site! Booking was seamless and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Facilities excellent and cleanliness was of a very high standard. We booked a grass pitch with EHU for a largish Motorhome with another pitch for two small tents - 5 people in total. I was initially concerned about the grass pitch given recent rainfall but site was very well drained and my 3.8 tonne vehicle had no access or egress problems. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and that's without mentioning the Alpacas which were lovely.

A spacious campsite run by a very welcoming and friendly couple. A small onsite shop, evening food available and a bar area. What's not to like! Great for my young family (6yr old and 8yr old). Soft ground as well for some easy pegging!
