Tarbert Holiday Park is the perfect place for a peaceful touring or glamping break. Located on the Kintyre Peninsula, it features spacious pitches and heated glamping pods, some of which even have ensuites. Watersport fans are in luck here with canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding all close by. It's a handy location too for ferry trips to the isles. Open year round.

The best washroom facilities of any campsite we have stayed in. I would recommend! It was great for us, before we got the ferry over to Arran.
Wonderful site, absolutely perfect in every way

Excellent camp site, which even has a lovely café on site. The pod we stayed in had comfortable furnishings, a particularly nice shower and an excellent small fridge that did the job well. I was impressed with the facilities in the communal kitchen. It had everything you'd need. Thoroughly impressed by everything. Friendly, good atmosphere, clean and lovely, in a great location. Totally recommend.

I have been in 6 different campsites in Scotland over the last 7 days - this one was the poorest by a noticeable amount.

We had a great stay! The site is well maintained, spotless with lovely staff! The lady cleaning the pods and kitchen was lovely, personable, smiley and is most definitely in the right job! The only negative is that ours and 2 neighbour's pods had a view from our decking of high bushes. They were in dire need of a trim, not the view I was expecting.
Very comfortable and great value

This is an excellent site. They have thought of everything. All cooking facilities, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery. Lovely building to sit in and watch the large television. Cafe on site. A mobile fish van came round this morning. Close to the Islay Ferry Terminal. We will definitely be back.

Ideal for exploring this area. Superior pod was great. Used the well equipped kitchen for cooking meals but had a meal one night at the on site cafe.

What a lovely place. We travelled from Manchester and wondered if it was too far for a short trip, but we left totally relaxed. The Forest pod was plenty spacious for two singles and the private hot-tub with a wonderful view was used every morning and evening. Our days were Monday and Tuesday and we hadn't realised that the site café was closed those days, but no matter, it wasn't far into Tarbert and we stocked up, cooked in and had a great time. Our day trips were Tarbert/Campbelltown and Oban. The driving was very relaxed and pleasant with quiet roads and well mannered road users - cars, tractors, buses, cycles and motorbikes. We drove all the way up, which meant 5 hours to Glasgow and a further 2 to Tarbert. The lady in reception was really nice and helpful, she helped us work out the ferries so that we could return via Arran to Ardrossan and cut 2 hours off our return drive. We forgot our bathing towels but the cleaning lady gave us a pair. All in all, a highly recommended site, plenty of opportunity for socialising if you want, plenty of safe space for kids and dogs to run around and plenty of privacy and quiet. We will be back as part of an island hopping trip next year. Ooh, and we had a little robin come to visit us every day too.
Well designed and comfortable site.

Great facilities. We stayed in a standard pod for two nights. It was clean, had comfy beds, a useful fridge, a nice TV, plenty of room for luggage plus a nice veranda with two seats and a view of the Loch. The shared kitchen was large and well-appointed, nice tables and chairs, the shower block was okay but basic. The laundry room was also well equipped. Last but not least, a very nice café open from Wednesday to Saturday. Great breakfasts.

Very convenient for ferries and a nice café but felt it was a bit noisy next to the road.

Brilliant, modern and new facilities, all spotlessly clean. Communal kitchen prep area was very handy. Even has a coffee shop on site, although we didn't get to use it as we were just here for the one night.

This was a good site. The member of staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. Although there were a couple of information sheets at reception, more information leaflets for the area would have been really helpful, maybe a bank of local information located in the kitchen or laundry room? There was a nice café on site. The main shower and toilet block was adequate, however there were only 2 toilets and showers in each of the male and female blocks. I think it would be improved by having more of each. There was an additional small block of facilities at the top of the site consisting of one unisex toilet and 2 showers. I would have preferred more toilets, maybe separate ones for male and female.

Had a lovely extended stay at this site. Lovely receptionist Flora was welcoming and informative. A great place to stay if you want to use the site as a base or just decompress and enjoy the walks around the site.
