The name Trwyn yr Wylfa Camping Site means 'watching point' - and the site is exactly what the name suggests! Set on ten acres of land surrounded by glorious sea and mountain views, it is a stunning spot for a relaxing getaway. Campers and tourers are welcome on grass and hardstanding pitches with the option of electric. Just a 15 minute walk from the beach and within Snowdonia National Park, it's the perfect base for exploring North Wales.

Met straight away as we pulled onto drive and shown our pitch which they had swapped to electric hook up for us with no issues. Great location and the views are stunning, facilities clean, only a short drive to other beaches/places in that area of Wales. Thanks again.

Very good campsite, beautiful area and everything that was required was there. Very clean toilet areas and an enjoyable break.

On the whole, everything was just okay, there was a lot of noise from the busy dual carriageway that did not let up at night. Where our tent was, it was not very close to the toilet/shower facilities, couldn't find Wi-Fi even though it said on the website that there was? We felt the toilets and showers could do with an upgrade.

On arrival we relized we had been here before. We didn't get the view of the sea but the mountain in front. The only down side was we had lovely weather all the week, but where we were sited the tree's shaded the sun. Never the less, the campsite is well kept and wouldn't detere us from coming again.

Absolutely brilliant site for camping. Really clean, great facilities, showers and toilets cleaned twice a day, kitchen facilities and amazing surroundings. Perfect for the beach and Snowdonia mountain walks. Definitely visit again.

Lovely, clean site, amazing views and sunset. Staff very helpful and friendly, showers hot and powerful. Location perfect, 10 min walk to bus and train station. Only downfall was the slope on the pitch, but what do you expect being on a hill. Plenty of bricks to level everything up. Would definitely go back.

An amazing site. Clean facilities. The showers had amazing water pressure. The site itself is in a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of the sea and mountains surrounding. Will definitely be booking for next year 😀

We had a lovely stay here ❤️ the views are to die for. We only stayed the weekend but wish we were there longer. I am a stickler for facilities and found these were great and kept clean. Family bathrooms which was a godsend.

A little piece of heaven in North Wales. We have just returned from a long weekend here and have to say that this has been our favourite campsite to date. Despite some fairly strong winds in the wake of storm Lilian, we had a fantastic time and were very sad to pack up and leave! When I first booked there was some confusion around minimum stay. Despite me managing to book the pitch for 3 nights, I had an email from the owners saying it was a 5 night minimum stay. I heard nothing else of it, but when I confirmed closer to the time, they said it was all ok and still booked - and whilst we were there, I heard people saying they were only staying one night. So maybe it was just me getting my wires crossed. The site really is stunning, well maintained and each pitch gives you loads of privacy. Where we were, the views were to absolutely die for (we could see the sea and mountains), but we did notice other areas of the site weren't quite as lucky - but even so, you'd still have great views regardless. The hook up pitches are the largest we've ever been on, and each pitch is separated by hedges. With all that space, it's the most relaxed we've ever been, especially as we have 2 kids and are always conscious about the noise (and mess!) we make. Plus, we're a bit antisocial, so like our privacy at the best of times! The toilet facilities (and showers) are cleaned regularly and were spotless at the times I visited them. The showers were warm, powerful enough and push button operated, giving you about 20ish seconds of water per push. The washing up area was great, clean, and spacious. They also provide blue roll to aid in the drying up. I saw a communal washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer, although didn't use them. We barely heard a wink out of anyone on the whole site past 9pm. Music is not allowed, which is a bonus and as you're not allowed fire pits, I guess you don't have a lot to sit out for in the evenings. Other than a muppet with a (obviously new) VW camper that kept setting his alarm off at all hours - we had zero noise disturbances or dramas of any kind. We walked down to the beach and with a 4- and 7-year-old in tow it took us about 30-40 minutes. For some of the journey you have to walk in the road (no path), so hold little ones close, although it's a fairly slow road. Conwy and Llandudno are about a 20-30 minute drive depending on which way you go. We used the Sychnant Pass to head that way, which takes a little longer but is worth it for the stunning views. Penmaenmawr (the local village) has a couple of shops and a couple of fast food joints. The site does have a walk up one of the mountains. We tried it, but turned back after a while as it was overgrown and the path was quite narrow and treacherous in places. I wouldn't suggest it with kids, without decent footwear or in dying light. We would (and hopefully will), without a shadow of a doubt, stay here again. A couple of minor negatives to follow, but it's only silly stuff. Book it - you will not be disappointed! The North Wales expressway, admittedly, is a little noisy once you've noticed it. The toilet facilities (although very clean, as stated above) are a little cramped. The family shower cubicles are fantastic and an absolute god send - but they are used by inconsiderate, selfish, able bodied single users. My wife had to queue for them (for some time) with our kids one morning to find that both had been occupied by single (women) users. I appreciate this can't be policed, but perhaps some better signage might help this. The pitches are sloped and very hard. Luckily, I had some heavy duty pegs, but I bent a number of smaller ones. They could probably do with being dragged over with a digger bucket. As the site is quite exposed, it gets very windy. We were in the wake of a storm that had recently passed, but I bet at points were getting gusts of 50mph.
Such a lovely site!

A very nice welcome, and the site was perfect for what we were looking for. The bathroom pods were also perfect. Overall great for a basic camping trip situated in beautiful views of both hills and sea.
Very picturesque

Excellent family camping site, impeccable facilities. Only down side is gradient of some pitches, we had an electric pitch 54 but a bit much of an incline, woke up a few times having slid down the mattress. Views are stunning.

First time to visit Wales and wow, what a campsite and what a location. The views are amazing, the people are friendly and the facilities are spot on. Just a shame we only had a week as there is so much to see and do. Think we might be booking again next year.
Nice site but pitches were on a slant!

The location of the site was good as a base to get to Conway, Llandudno, Snowdonia and Anglesey. Site facilities were good with the usual shower/ toilets/washing up area etc but my biggest problem were the pitches themselves. They were on quite acute angles, so when set up everything slid , like tables etc. Not only that, I found it very difficult to sleep or even relax in a chair. For others info, please note that no music is allowed (only on headphones), dogs are not allowed to bark and the gates are locked at 11pm.

Lovely campsite with stunning views. Facilities are excellent and very clean. Staff were very helpful. We had a problem with pitching our tent as the ground was very hard, but they sorted us in no time. Even though the site seemed to be at full capacity, it never seemed over crowded. Ideal for families. Would highly recommend and hope to come again!
Would go again

Wonderful views, great campsite. The beach is not next to the campsite (busy road in between that you can hear as well). Clean shower-blocks, friendly staff. Would go again.

Thank you to the staff for keeping the place so well maintained. Staff was really friendly and very helpful 🙂 Loved the location and the views from the top of the hill where we camped was incredible. Also had couple of family bathrooms, which was really good. I will definitely return again. Thank you 😊

We had such a lovely three nights stay at the Trwyn Yr Wylfa campsite. It is at a beautiful location with great view of the sea and the mountains. The site is very clean and well maintained with good facilities of toilets, shower, washing, laundry and fridge/freezer. Fairy Glyn is a pub where we had a lovely dinner. We enjoyed our visit to Snowdonia and Greenwood park which are within 20-25mins drive from the site and also the beach was fantastic for the kids. Urmila.
