With local beaches and many attractions, visitors are truly spoiled in the heart of Dylan Thomas' country. Guests will also all have a fire pit and picnic bench at their pitch for enjoying evenings under the stars. Don't forget to meet the many animals onsite too, including alpacas!

Lovely site. Very well kept and laid out. Excellent composting toilets and good communal area. It's a shame that the licence didn't permit a van or roof tent and a separate tent in the same pitch. Fire-pits are a nice touch, though stormy weather stopped us from using them. The site is quite exposed for high wind and the mown grass tracks can get pretty muddy - part of the balance of a truly rural site. Michael, the owner, was engaging and helpful.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, I am so glad you had a lovely stay and also for your comment on the excellent composting toilets as you could see I keep on top of them regularly to ensure they are in tip top condition. Sadly roof tents do tend to be exposed to high wind even though I had allocated you the best pitch close to the hedge, however sadly during your visit the weather was unseasonably poor and storm Lilian did have an impact on your stay, another reason the main mown grass vehicle tracks were muddy due to vehicle tyre compaction, both issues any campsite would experience during such poor weather.

Thank you Michael. We have just returned from a lovely four days in West Wales in an eco pod at the wonderful Big Barn Campsite. Everything was as we'd hoped with the focus on low impact and sustainability. The loos were vey clean and the showers plenty hot. Michael has thought of pretty much everything and there's an honesty shop for whatever you've forgotten. It all made for a great trip! Thanks Jo and Phil.

Amazing campsite. Beautiful, well maintained pitches with loads of space and a picnic table for each one. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. Gorgeous location near Pendine beach and Dylan Thomas Boathouse. Michael was friendly and welcoming with good tips for places to visit. Our best camping trip so far.

What an amazing find! Big barn campsite is perfect lovely big pitches which include a proper picnic bench, fab for eating all together. Toilet and showers were spotless. Michael is a fantastic host, really friendly and works so hard to keep the site as amazing as it is. We will definitely be back year after year. I fully recommend. Pendine sands is only 4 miles away amazing beach. Tenby is a 30 min drive.

Thank you Michael for hosting us at your campsite. We really appreciate the sustainability you've embraced. There was plenty of space between pitches, facilities immaculately clean, venue close enough to Laugharne to access via car or bike. The provision of a fire pit per pitch was welcome. Great site. We hope to return.

Me and my partner stayed at Big Barn Camping for one night, we booked it quite last minute and the price was very reasonable still at this point. The campsite was so peaceful, lots of space between each pitch. We used one of the campfires which had wood available in the honesty shop along with a larder of items! Michael was so helpful and gave us some recommendations for pubs and walk to the village. The campsite is in the countryside so is best if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time, which we definitely were. We would 100% come back again, we really enjoyed our stay here.

The site was everything it was advertised as. Michael came out to greet us and was really friendly. The kids enjoyed the farm and the animals. The toilets on the camping field were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. The sinks and facilities were clean and maintained multiple times per day. There was plenty of hot water. The addition of being allowed a fire pit was great for the kids to toast marshmallows. It was also great to be allowed to bring a gazebo free of charge. The barn had 2 dining tables which would be good to use if the weather turned bad and you didn't have enough shelter on your pitch. We will definitely return. The site and the surrounding area was 5 stars. Thank you, Michael.

First time here. Was greeted by Michael who is a friendly, helpful man. Fabulous views, lovely and quiet and a comfortable bed. Ideal for adults mainly. Good outside toilet and great facilities. The pod had a seating area, utensils, plates, cups, kettle, top hob and cool box. It also had a little folded table, seating area and a hanging area. I have recommended that my friends visit this place and we also recommend visiting the castle, Saundersfoot Beach and Pendine Sands.
A very good stay

We had a very calm night and evening at this campsite. The location is perfect because it is in the middle of the countryside and no big roads around. Michael was very nice and attentive to us. If every campsite could be the same as Big Barn, it would be perfect.

Fantastic site. So quiet, stunning location and great views. Also enjoyed the star gazing. Camping field really well laid out with each tent having its own space and picnic table. Plus 2 compost toilets located at each end of the camping field for convenience. Logs available to buy for the fire pits, which are a lovely touch. Will definitely be back.

Only stayed for a night but was thoroughly impressed with the site and facilities. Lovely warm showers, an area to wash up, separate sink area for washing your hands, a communal fridge/freezer and lovely views from the barn. Each pitch had its own picnic table and fire pit, ideal for us tent users. Would definitely recommend.
