We stayed two nights. The site was very nice, good facilities, nice showers, clean toilets. Phone and laptop charging facilities. Staff (owners?) were very helpful and kind. The facilities are made from wood and look very characterful. Only gripe is the septic tank gave off quite a stench and is unfortunately situated right in the communal area of the site. I heard a few other campers complaining about this too. Other than that, the location was a little far from everything, it takes about 15 minutes plus in the car to reach most places of interest, not a problem for most people but not perfect. I would stay again.
Site's response
I apologise for the septic tank. Despite plenty of signs around the site and in the toilets, some of our customers still flush wet wipes and other sanitary products down our toilets. Wet wipes are fibrous, containing plastic, and do not break down. They stick to each other and everything sticks to them, seriously impeding the normal operation of our sewage treatment plant hence the resulting smell. With a prevailing wind, this is not usually a problem. Some customers will have noticed that I attend to the sewage treatment plant daily with the sole purpose of fishing out the wet wipes in an attempt to sustain normal operation. Wet wipes are a serious problem at all scales of sewage treatment and I feel they should not be available for general public use.

Stayed at this lovely site in Anglesey the last week in August, got there on the bank holiday Monday and stayed until Saturday. The site is approximately 2.5 miles from the A55, through the village of Bodedern, It is a former cricket ground, so the pitches are flat with hardstanding and EHU pitches round the edge of the site, and non-electric pitches in the middle. There are 4 unisex bathrooms on site, with warm showers and they are kept really clean by the campsite staff. Also, there's a separate ladies and gents toilets in the block next to the showers. Mark (campsite owner) and his staff also run a small shop, where you can buy drinks and sweets, the staff will also put cool box blocks in the shop freezer for you. A few tweaks to the site would be allowing the showers to run for a bit longer as they are operated by a push button but last for about 20 seconds before pressing again. Wi-Fi could be provided at the pitch, for additional cost, although this is not a necessity, while we were there some people commented on the lack of Wi-Fi, as a lot of campsites now have this facility. An extra EHU point near to the entrance gate would be beneficial, instead of using a splitter on existing point, this would stop the electric from tripping out. Overall, this site is great, and when it goes dark the stars and the nocturnal wildlife are amazing to see and listen to. Would we come back here again? Yes definitely would⛺️

This was our first time staying at a campsite and we were so impressed. Lovely, clean site and the toilets were proper and always clean and shower rooms were great too. Having a little shop as well that sold necessities and hot and cold drinks was brilliant! They had a few large games for kids to play on and a fairy garden which we sadly didn't get to see cause our daughter was too scared as it was a bit darker in there. Having a reduced noise level after 9:30pm was nice too as that meant we had a decent night sleep. Would happily stay here again. All in all, a wonderful site and I feel like it has set the bar high for any other sites we may visit in the future.

This is a great site with loads to do with kids. Staff are really helpful and friend and the place is lovely and clean. This was mine and daughter's (6) first camping trip and we loved it even with high winds and will be coming back this site next year.
Friendly and clean

Enjoyable stay, friendly staff, simple but adequate facilities. A bit out of the way but not far from Holyhead. Showers should activate for longer as it was annoying having to push the shower button every 10 seconds, and each time you do, the shower stops for a second. Pitches were decent size with nice flat ground. Would recommend.

Lovely campsite in a picturesque setting with a fairy glen and an ancient dolmen in the next field! There is an onsite shop selling coffee and snacks, and lots of fire pits dotted around, so unlike a lot of sites, you can have a campfire! Toilets and showers were spotless, with lots of warm water, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. What more could you want?

Good value site a short drive from Holyhead docks. We booked it as we needed a campsite close to Holyhead for somewhere to stop after arriving in the early evening on the ferry from Dublin. We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly owner, who gave us the basic information we needed for the site. The facilities were all clean and well kept, and appeared to be quite new. An unexpected bonus was the provision of fire pits. Wood, kindling, and marshmallows were available at the site shop which was open at 7:30pm when we arrived, enabling us to stand around a campfire after our journey toasting Marshmallows. After around 10pm although there were still groups sat around their campfires, the site became very quiet. Would certainly recommend it as a convenient good value stop when travelling to or from the ferries at Holyhead.

Booked Druid's Rest just a week before, and arrived as Storm Lilian hit. Helpful check-in and willing help in getting the flysheet on when the winds/rain made it difficult. Whilst remote and inland, it's convenient to both sides of the coast. We'd arrived from a festival, so the facilities were truly welcome, charging points for mobiles, some mobile service cover, and fire pits were available. Situated adjacent to a field with a Neolithic burial ground, it's a cracking find and would consider a return when on Anglesey.

Amazing campsite for a little 2 night getaway. Toilets, showers and washing up area were very clean. Has a handy little kiosk that sells teas, coffees, hot chocolates, sweets, drinks, and of course the fire wood for your fire pit that comes with your pitch. Thank you so much for a lovely 2 days.

There is no downside to visiting this site. Absolutely wonderful location and exemplary hosts. Made to feel welcome the moment we arrived, enjoyed a coffee from the site shop, before we started to unpack our equipment. Standards of welcome, knowledge and on site facilities were very high and a credit to the owners. The little things matter, a walk around every evening by Mark, to ensure all was well, the Fairy Glen, not only for the children but enjoyed by many adults too. The location is 10 minutes from everywhere, whether that be a walk to the local village or drive to the supermarkets near by. Plenty of activities for children and many animals for them to get close to, mainly cows. Relax and watch the world go by, quietly or go to one of the near by activities, clay pigeon shooting, water activities, beaches, archaeological sites, there is something for everyone. Will gladly return in the future.

The site was very clean and facilities were outstanding. The staff and owner were all very friendly and helpful! They have extension cables for electric hookup to borrow. They have fire pits, and a small onsite shop for your morning coffee and other consumables. I would absolutely recommend this site, very good value for money. The children loved their time there. Thank you Mark (owner) and Jackie (member of staff) for making our stay so lovely.

We came and stayed at this site. It was our first time camping together as a family. We came with our friends and the kids all played together and made new friends. The site is clean tidy and very well kept. It's a lovely little camping site and there's loads around to do. We liked the little touches, like the horses that came and being able to have a fire of an evening, they have the fire bits there for you. Little fairy place in the little woods for the kids and lots of little games. All in all, a lovely stay and we will be back.

Brilliant campsite for families. It has a small shop, the cleanest showers and toilets I've ever used. The owners are really friendly, the site was busy, but not overcrowded and there was no loud music to keep the kids up. It is about 20 mins to the nearest beaches which are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Best campsite we have ever been to. Arrived around 8:30pm on a Friday and stayed for 2 nights. Hot water showers were amazing, these didn't go cold at all and were kept super clean at all times. Hot water taps with washing up liquid and a sponge provided to wash all our dishes was an excellent bonus as we have never been anywhere like this to camp before. We noticed there was also a USB power bank to use outside the shop where you could plug your phone charger into and charge up your phone. Phone signal was great no problems at all. There was a shop onsite with drinks, chocolate, pot noodles, cereal, coffee even beer and wine this was open until around 9pm. The site was not far from the beach's etc and only about 15-20 minutes drive. There was a shop about a four minute drive down the road too. There were only two of us (couple) however there was family's with kids all playing together and games going on which was good however everyone was pretty quiet after 10pm. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely camp here again in the future mainly due to the hot water taps and showers!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in this campsite! It was our kids' first time camping and this was the perfect little place to start. The owner was lovely and so helpful. The facilities were fabulous; the separate toilet block was clean and well-maintained (liked the coconut hand soap, its the small things!) and the family shower rooms were brilliant too. There were excellent washing up facilities too. I couldn't believe they had a little shop-ette on site too. Man alive was the coffee better than our tent coffee! There was a little Fairy Glen for kids to go in (best to go in with the little ones) and there some other family games out too. Such a family friendly site! We plan on returning next summer but this time for a week. Thank you so much for keeping such a wonderful campsite.

Great campsite, allowed campfires and provided campfire pits. Friendly staff, nice toilet/washroom facilities. Only problem was that the showers went off after 10 seconds, so you had to keep pressing the button to turn it on, which was slightly annoying.
