This is a lovely site with lovely, helpful owners. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. We had a nice hardstanding with water available on the pitch. The pitch had a hedge one side and a tree the other side so felt private. The only downside is the proximity of a busy B road but in the caravan, noise was not a problem. There is a nice pub - The Anchor 5 minutes walk up the road, which served excellent food.

Lovely little campsite. The facilities were very clean. Good pitches. Good bus connections to Chichester or Selsey. I would recommend a walk to The Crab & Lobster at Sidlesham Quay. The site is on a fairly busy road, but it didn't bother us too much. Once you're in your van!

Pleasant little site with country walks nearby. Very clean and tidy facilities. A nice pub with good food (The Anchor Inn ⚓️) almost opposite. Convenient bus stop outside which runs approximately every 15 minutes and it's only £2 each way per person to Chichester. Would definitely go again.

Lovely small site with about 8 hard-standing electric pitches and a similar number on grass in another field. Some of the best wash-rooms I've encountered - there are only three, so there could be a wait if the site was full, but it consists of two private rooms with toilet, shower and washbasin (and PLENTY of room) and a third with just a toilet and washbasin. I LOVE washing like that with bit of privacy and plenty of room to spread out. All of them were kept scrupulously clean. Only niggle - the washbasins have no plugs and the design of the plughole means they were not intended to! A large flat plug will just about seal the drain, but it's not very successful. Just one wash-up shed for plates and pans etc, that's basic but adequate. Dark at night so you can see the stars! And wild deer visit the field behind. But there can be a little bit of traffic noise 'til quite late from the nearby road. Good pub and restaurant just a couple of minute's walk away. Good chemical toilet emptying facility (at waist height), but I'd have liked them to have a ground-level drain for grey water. I'd also like them to add a freezer for us to recharge cool blocks if possible.
Lovely!

A lovely small very friendly site with every basic service on site. An abundance of quiet dog friendly walks. The coast only 10 minutes away. Groceries nearby. The owners keep everything very clean and tidy. A lovely little park to stay in!

We arrived early, which was not a problem. The owner, Hayley, and her two children came to check everything was ok early that evening. Hayley was very helpful about the area and the local footpaths. A lovely pub is within five minutes on foot from the site. Compliments for the clean facilities. Hot showers and hot water to wash up with. The pitches are spacious and all have electric hook up. Hayley gave us the choice of a hard standing or grass pitch. We chose grass and our pitch looked over fields, which we loved. We walked to Selsey Bill and were able to get a bus back to the site. Definitely will be back. Thank you 😊

I stayed here while visiting family in the local area. The location is great, it was easy to find and the access was good, which I find important as I tow a caravan. Fortunately I was there at low season as the facilities seem limited. I don't think there's Wi-Fi, which was slightly inconvenient. I also found the electric gates a little stubborn. Having said that, I would stay there again.

Road noise as close to main Selsey road. Site clean and tidy. Not enough toilets and showers. Didn't find owner to be friendly.
Great site, ticked all the boxes we needed

Booked this site as had family staying down at Selsey, didn't meet the owner but that was our fault, not his! We were literally using it as a base to leave our motorhome and sleep in. That being said, we were allowed early access, which was appreciated. Large grass pitch and spotless facilities. Some have mentioned road noise but we never noticed it. Bus stops just up the road and currently only £2 per trip. It runs every 20 minutes in the daytime and half hourly in the evenings so that meant we could leave the motorhome on site. Pub also near the site, which we didn't use this time, but have eaten in before, so that's handy.
A great stay

The site is very quiet which we liked. It is near a road but it is just low road noise. The grass pitches in the 2nd field section have a great view of a field where you can see deer and birds of pray. The grass pitches are located around the edge of this field and your caravan can be whichever position you choose which we liked. Facilities clean and modern. Dog walk through a gate from campsite. 15 mins from West Wittering beach and near Selsey town. Pub just down the road. The owners are friendly and helpful and leave you be to enjoy your stay. A very chilled and pleasant stay, we will definitely stay again.

The site is in a good location, not far from Chichester and also close to the coast. The showers/toilet facilities were beautifully clean and maintained. Flat level pitches with EHU. Some local walks available from site and paths from the site for dog walking. It was a well thought out site and we really enjoyed our stay. The local pub, the Anchor, is a very short walk from the site where we ate an evening meal. We look forward to returning to Bucket & Spade.
Very good but postcode couldn't find site

Fabulous. Bit noisy by the road! Plus, too many dogs been on site in our opinion. For folks with no dogs, we were quite aware of a smell, even after rain

Lovely clean site, first rate washroom facilities, my only comment would be there was nowhere to put your shower gel except the floor of the shower. The signs for the site could be bigger as you come round a corner in the road and you are on top of site. Very convenient for the Chichester area.

A lovely campsite with excellent public transport links to Chichester, Portsmouth and Brighton. My husband and I really enjoyed our 5 night stay over the first May Bank Holiday weekend and would recommend this small quiet campsite. There is a modern shower block; a slight problem is that there are only 2 showers so you might have to wait at busy times, but a big advantage is that the shower, toilet and sink are all in one room and very clean and spacious. The campsite owner was very welcoming and informative about local facilities- he assured us that if the rain continued as it was when we arrived, he would tow us off the field! There was no need as the sun shone the first morning and everywhere dried up quickly.

The owners are lovely. Sadly, our hard standing pitch had been given to another customer. Due to the weather, the grass was very soft and when we moved to the grass pitch, which the owner directed us to, we got stuck. The owners did tow us out with a tractor and we remained on site on the edge of the drive. The facilities were clean and well designed, it would be a beautiful stay in drier weather.
