Friendly campsite. Facilities were wonderfully clean and hot water for showers and washing up. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Etherley Park for 2 nights in our newly converted camper. Great site on the farm with recently refurbed facilities and a great little shop selling local produce. We stayed as a family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay and took a walk to Leith Hill Tower on one of the days. Will certainly return again for a longer stay, likely this year. We were advised to park on the side of the main field which has hardstanding ground below the grass. The weather was absolutely terrible and we did get stuck in the grass. It wasn't 5 mins before we were towed out with the tractor by the nice farmer. The kids loved it and added to the adventure. Highly recommended and already looking forward to coming again. Location is also worth noting, We live in Hampshire and would normally travel away for a camping trip. This place was less than an hour's drive and it felt like we were miles away. Next time I ride my mountain bike at Peaslake, Leith Hill or any of that Surrey Hills area, I will book a night here and get 2 days riding the local hills. Great site and will be returning again. Good enough for me to take the time to leave this review :)

Etherley Farm is in a stunning location within the area of Leith Hill in Dorking. It was a good location for us to visit Chessington and Thorpe Park and still have the rural camping experience. The toilet block was clean and the showers and taps always had hot water. We were unfortunate to hit a spot of bad weather on our visit and as we arrived on a bank holiday. There was not much guidance on where to pitch. We were told by a family leaving not to pitch near the toilet block as the barn adjacent contained a lot of animals, that, although it is as you would expect on a farm and provided some country sounds, made a lot of noise all night. On this advice, we pitched across the other side of the field. Big mistake. It rained all night and we awoke to be surrounded by mud. Very thick mud - the kind that takes your shoe off as you walk. The field is on an incline too and we were down the wrong end. This, coupled with strong winds that took our porch down, led us to cut our trip short by a night and checking into a motel. Although the campsite could not control the weather, we wished we were advised on where to pitch for a better location. There was only four tents there when we camped and the animals were noisy all night. If the weather was better and you can sleep through a bit of natural sound, this is a lovely site. I only nipped in the farm shop to say we were leaving early, but I was impressed with the produce and selection available.
