Gorgeous location, handy for Ben More. Spotlessly clean facilities. Welcoming owner. Great shop with lovely staff. I'm coeliac and the restaurant made me safe gluten free fish and chips, which was amazing. I will come back!

Absolutely stunning location. Best facilities I have ever had at a campsite. Campsite shop, open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm! I was stunned to see an onsite laundromat too. Plenty of toilets and showers, all clean, two huge clean washing sinks + a fridge. I hope to return, as it is a campsite where everything has been thought of, and no expense spared to make the stay a great one.

£48 for two night in a small tent. Possibly a bit more expensive than what I usually pay. But, the location was great , spotlessly clean and well maintained. Pity about the weather.
Beautiful spot on a beautiful island

Truly a beautiful spot, the view is fantastic and the campsite is very comfortable. The facilities are new and work well, and the nearby restaurant serves the best chips in Scotland. There are midges. But then there are midges in Scotland. Highly recommended.
Clean clean clean, and what a view!

Pristine site and facilities in a wonderful location and with a shop next door. Great Wi-Fi, only way to improve is to add the promised laundry facilities, stayed on an extra 2 nights.

An excellent location which ensures you visit more of the island than just around Tobermory and the ferry. The toilets were spotless and regularly inspected. Only criticism would be lack of electric hook up for tent area. The Inn was next door to the site, but the menu didn't excite us so we didn't use it, although we did use the shop.

Excellent location for exploring the Island of Mull. Ben More in view just across the loch, which is just outside the campsite gates. Toilet facilities and showers are regularly cleaned and are immaculately clean. Wash room was adequate but perhaps could have done with a microwave, toaster for campers who travel lightly. Inn next door serve excellent food and drinks and staff are very friendly. Iona ferry terminal about 20mins, Tobermory approximately 50mins away. My wife and I were tenting and would certainly recommend this site and would certainly go back.

Good spot with very nice views, a shop, a pub and a restaurant. Separated garbage is a positive! Good point to see Iona and the other isles such as Staffa and Lunga. I missed some towel-hooks next to the sink. And a fridge would be nice for tent-campers. We could only book for 3 nights, so we booked a hotel for the last night on Mull. Last evening we met a warden who told us we could have phoned. Unfortunately we had already booked somewhere else. It was a pleasure to be there!

Fabulous views and the facilities were very modern and clean. There was a great pub and food next door, which was very welcoming. We had a slight problem with EHU, which was our own ignorance of not knowing to depress the central switch on the unit. I rang the site emergency number and they contacted me straight back, we had however managed to figure it out. We would stay there again.
Perfect, perfect, perfect!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend at Port nan Gael Campsite on the Isle of Mull. The campsite's location is stunning, nestled amidst beautiful landscapes with perfect views of Loch Scridain. The site is incredibly peaceful and beautiful to wake up to each day! The staff at Port nan Gael were excellent, providing helpful assistance and clear communication throughout our stay and super friendly to boot! Overall, our experience was exceptional, and we highly recommend Port nan Gael Campsite for a tranquil getaway on the Isle of Mull. We can't wait to return!

Toilet and showers - great design and spotless. Got all the facilities and a pub next door. What more would you want? Of course - a beautiful view, which it has! Ideal site for Mull.

We had a great stay at Port nan Gael. Very easy to find a spot, fantastic views of Mull, right next to a pub and great quality facilities. The showers were clean and hot. 10/10 recommend.

This site is fantastic, it provides good, clean facilities at a budget. The owners are friendly and easy to chat to. Due to Cal Mac issues we missed our first night, this was easily amended to add a night and I wish we stayed longer. Drive carefully and it's worth it when you realise that you are in a brilliant spot for getting around. Easy drive south to ferries to Iona, Staffa, gorgeous white beaches with no footprints on....bliss. We watched Gannets dive 30m as tide came in, red deer interrupted our dogs walk in the dark, as they do. Not bad for midges...unless it rains and then the wind drops....there's usually enough of a breeze though. Take binoculars, enjoy the sunsets, watch the stars and chill...it's perfect. Our dog loved it too and not one tick either. Our only gripe is we couldn't stay for longer, but guaranteed to be back soon. Thank you Mull.

Lovely campsite on a beautiful spot. Facilities were spotless with great water pressure in the showers. Still some ways to go with providing the necessary facilities to accommodate the number of pitches, however, they seem to be in the process of rectifying this. I look forward to returning when the facilities are finished, which I'm sure will be in no time at all with the rate that it was going up at. Pub next door is a great bonus!

This is a new site so some of the facilities are in progress but everything else is fantastic. The Inn is lovely, just finding it's feet but the mussels are gorgeous.

Great campsite, scenic view over the Loch. The Inn just east of the campsite can very much be recommended. One suggestion for improvement: coat hooks above the wash basins and in the toilets would be quite useful.

Thanks for taking the time to review. We have now added coat hooks in the toilet/shower block and also the pot wash. Hope to have you return in the future!

I loved this site. The views were phenomenal, the plots were level and well maintained and the shower block was regularly cleaned with powerful showers. What was great too was that there was a pub serving locally produced food next door and it was on the main bus route, which meant I didn't have to break camp and I could enjoy 3 trips to Iona stress free. Will have no hesitation staying here again if I return to Mull.
