Lovely setting. Lovely welcome, but not enough toilets for size of site - long walk to get to facilities and over a stile! Facilities could do with an upgrade too and shop needs a bit more stock.

Easy to find with the photos and directions given by text, excellent site set in the woods and the lake make for a very peaceful site. Lovely walks with our dog. We had a lovely pitch easy to park & to hookup and enjoyed a lovely evening sat in the sunshine with a glass if wine!! Toilet & shower block were excellent and nice welcome & check in, nice little shop with essentials. Only problem for us was we turned left out of the gate looking for what we thought was a pub and village shops but with our motorhome the small lane proved quite tricky!! But we did enjoyed our stay. Thank you…

What a lovely find - a beautiful green haven, with the yurt having a private setting. A bonus is the private bathroom. The teenagers were happy to end each exploring day with some Wi-Fi downtime, the best of both worlds. We also had a warm, friendly reception.

Absolutely lovely place to go and take the children. The tent was lovely, it was big and we had a last minute change with amount of adults coming and they facilitated it with absolutely no hassle as all. Lovely staff. Only thing I will say is I had the music on (not very loud) and a guy did come and tell us to turn the music off and that is was banned from the site. But no biggy, I don't see why it was a problem on low. Other than that amazing 2 nights away.

Lovely, clean site with thoughtfully positioned pitches. Very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in the Lily Pad bell tent. It was very clean and everything was provided for us. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here a few weeks ago, it was an absolutely lovely site and perfect location. The site was very well maintained and a lovely shower in the main block too. We also had the field to ourselves for a few hours then one other party pitched up but very nice and tranquil. The only downside was the porta loos in the field we were staying, good idea but very unclean and no loo roll. These ideally need to be cleaned daily. Other than that, we will be returning :)

Good size pitches in lovely wooded area. You will need levelling ramps as it is a bit of a slope. Good clean facilities and a friendly welcome too.

Quiet and peaceful site. Excellent facilities, including a really useful fridge. Fast Wi-Fi is an inexpensive added cost. Nice walks through the surrounding woods. Fully recommend.

The caravan pitch was nice and level, and quick to set up with electric hook up with water tap behind. The facilities are great with nice showers, a laundry and shop on site selling essentials. I travelled with my two boys 12 and 15 and they were delighted there was fast WiFi on site so they could enjoy their PS5s when we weren't off doing something else. Our two spaniels loved the woodland and lakes and the site is perfect for chilling out. There are two fishing lakes, a smaller one at the top which is well stocked and perfect for pole fishing, if you use sweetcorn you can catch fish all day long. The roach are quick and greedy and a couple took a bit of disgorging, but my younger lad loved fishing this lake. There are also carp in the upper lake. The lower lake is about 20 metres lower down the site and is bigger and again well stocked with carp, roach and other fish. This was a delight to fish with shaded swims. If you don't fish just take a chair, good book and enjoy the tranquility with a chilled cider and nice G&T. Within 20 minutes are the towns of Wellington and Taunton with all the supermarkets including Lidl. There's a Waitrose too. We loved the site and six nights flew by. We mainly just chilled out fishing, gaming and walking the dogs. Exmouth and Sidmouth are about an hour away, but we weren't fussed about visiting Trull Waterfall is ten minutes away, with a nice area for dogs and children to explore. Looking forward to coming again.

Lovely peaceful site. Wonderful walks for our boxer dog. Very helpful when we had a problem with the electrics on the van. Wish we had taken advice on your directions to the site and not listened to the sat nav!!!

Grateful for the alternative pitch, thank you. Having booked a grass pitch we arrived in the rain then left in wind and rain, so we were offered a hard standing which was situated near the lovely warm shower block. Couple of lovely walks from the site. Perfect for our quiet restful getaway.

Very nice little site. Really quiet and peaceful. Lovely walks right on the doorstep or a short drive. Only downfall we had was that we had to wait for our gas stove to be delivered to the tent, which took a while unfortunately. This meant we couldn't cook a dinner and had to get a takeaway. I guess this was a one off judging by the service for the rest of the stay, which was spot on. Just not ideal. Definitely would recommend this site and will definitely visit again still.

All good except for the Wi-Fi, which cost £3 and did not work for us.
Site's response
Thank you for your review - we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I am so sorry about the Wifi. This usually works very well as we have super-fast fibre with boosters across the site. It may have been technical issue on the day, which we could have looked into if you had reported the issue to us. That said, if you do return for another stay, we would be happy to give you a free wifi voucher. Jodie & Tristan

This was our very first maiden voyage in our newly purchased campervan and the hosts could not of been more helpful with our entire 2 night stay! We originally booked the meadow field location but being newbies, we struggled a bit with the levelling. Luckily a flatter pitch became available and some chocks bought from their well stocked shop and we settled in perfectly! The showers were better than some 5* hotels we have stayed in! The water pressure and the cleanliness of the shower and toilet block were incredible. There was a field to exercise our dog and lots of walks around. Wellington is about a 10 minute drive away so we could stock up with food. Everyone was so friendly, we will definitely return 😊

Site is well equipped and lovely place to pitch and stay. The facilities were clean and suitably located from the pitches. The shop on site has most of the required, last minute items and the town is a 10 mins drive away. Site location is perfect to get to either north or south coasts (same distances). The pitches were clean and free from rubbish and no noise after the light has gone and dog friendly. The owners were on hand to assist when needed and were always happy to help. Would recommend a stay here and definitely be returning here.

Stayed at the wonderfully run, clean and quiet Kingsmead Centre for 3 nights in their Yurt which is one of the glamping options they offer on top of regular pitches and secluded tent pitches. Have to say it was fabulous and our first experience of glamping. Not knowing what to bring we needn't have packed half of what we did as the Yurt and site was so well equipped, even including a fridge/freezer all the crockery, washing up supplies and excellent site-wide WiFi at just £3 for 3 days. Great location, really friendly owners and staff and the icing on the cake was the private bathroom, which made all the difference! Quiet place to stay, a few nice walks from the site and easy drives down to Sidmouth, Ottery St Mary which we visited Overall I would 100% recommend this and will be back

We only stayed 1 night but loved this site. It has a well thought out woodland layout and very clean washing and showering facilities. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
