About Mount Pleasant Glamping and Camping
A family run campsite boasting views over the surrounding Derbyshire countryside. You'll be sure to get a feel for farm life with the resident donkeys, pigs, sheep and Axle the horse, who guests love to befriend. Set in an acre camping field are 15 grass pitches, with the option of electric should you require it. These pitches are flat and level perfect for tents, campervans or motorhomes. If you're looking for something a little cosier then stay in one of five glamping cabins. Sleeping between two and four each is fully heated and offers views out over the farm. Inside you'll find a double bed and either a single bed or built in bunk beds, a table and chairs and all the essential kitchen appliances and crockery. Outside is the perfect space for alfresco dining a seating area and a fire pit with a grill, all charcoal is also included. Campers are also welcome to bring their own BBQs. Unfortunately due to being a working farm with machinery and livestock dogs aren't allowed onsite.

Things to do on site and in the Ashbourne area
Spend your days onsite fussing over the farm animals, both the two donkeys Marley and Billy as well as Axle the horse love making friends with guests. The site owners Whizz and Emily also have a unique farm museum which they will happily show campers around.
Venture away from the farm and explore one of the many market towns nearby. Head to Ashbourne (15 minutes) and explore the park or do a little shopping on the high street. Slightly further away is Stoke-on-Trent (35 minutes) with family fun at Waterworld or for the more adventurous check out the Ninja Warrior UK Adventure!
For those thrill seekers the site offers a great location to Alton Towers, just a short ten minute drive you can experience the thrill of rollercoasters and water rides!
