What a great little site on a working dairy farm. Really good onsite facilities. Unisex shower/ toilet block may not work for some, but we have no problem with this. Spotlessly clean, 3 showers and toilets. Showers excellent with dual heads. Small drying room available, handy for walkers. Farm shop and café onsite, had one meal in the café, very nice - the milkshakes are excellent. Small site but great location, close to National Trust Sizergh Castle, and plenty of local walks and a short drive to Kendal. Would definitely go back. Judith (owner) was very helpful and friendly.

Staying on this site was great. It doesn't have playground, pool, club but that was exactly what we were looking for, just an escape. It does have a fantastic shop with gifts, food, booze and there's a lovely cafe above for breakfast, kids can take a walk along a fairy finding walk, There's cow milking every day, a large veg growing area that you can just wander through, fantastic views and a lovely pub a short walk away. Sizergh Hall is just a 10 minute walk away and Kendal a very short drive. We loved it, but one small complaint that can't be helped is that the sound of the A591 is never far away. We will be back for another chill time very soon.

Campsite facilities were spotless. Only downside is depending on your pitch, your car is not near your tent, so a bit of a pain to unload and pack up, but is the only negative we have. Great coffee van and café on site which was nice to have if needed.

Lovely, peaceful site, plenty of good walks round about, lovely café and shop. Michelle is very helpful and informative and her husband was also very helpful when we had an issue with the motorhome. Excellent place to stay which I would recommend and would like to return to.

Just returned home from 2 nights camping here at Sizergh with 2 children. Lovely site in a great location for exploring in any direction. Manager and owner very friendly and informative on arrival. Facilities from the showers and toilets to the cleaning stations were spotless. Shops and supermarkets within a 10-15 minute drive depending on if you need a few bits or a bigger haul, but the onsite shop and café is great too! Very quiet on a night time so a good sleep had by all. Would definitely use this site again and would recommend to friends and others.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Scotland. Close to M6 so very convenient to stop over. The farm shop is great, with a wide variety of local produce. There were two toilets and three showers, the showers are very nice. It's close to main road so traffic can be heard. Lovely site manager, who was very welcoming and helpful.

We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect and very peaceful. We enjoyed the fairy walk. The only negative was the toilet block. It wasn't very nice that the showers were mixed with the toilets as when you were showering it wasn't very pleasant to hear people on the loo! The fridge/freezer was a lovely addition. Would have been good to have payable washer/dryers on site. We would 100% come back so thank you for a lovely stay.

This was our 1st camper van holiday as we have always had tents before. The campsite itself was quiet and very well maintained and clean. The washing/showering facilities were of an excellent standard and clean and tidy whenever used. There were only two toilets which meant that there could be a small wait at certain times of the day for those without their own toileting facilities. There was some road noise which I didn't find intrusive, but my other half did at times. The café is great for a full breakfast. The shop is well stocked and the rolls and scones are highly recommended. The farm lamb chops were also delicious and well priced. The Strickland Arms pub was only a 5 minute walk and can be recommended food wise. Seizergh Castle was also a short walk ( 10 mins) and was well worth a visit. We both enjoyed our stay and would definitely use the campsite again and would recommend it to others.

Gorgeous little campsite in a great location. Farm shop and café on site, very popular at the weekend. Really clean site with toilets and showers, an area to wash up and a communal fridge and freezer. Cows are milked daily at 3:30pm which people can watch. Pitches have water and optional EHU and are a good size. Everyone was really friendly. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back.
A great site for a stop but some issues

A great site with a few spots to explore around it, great shop and van there but no dogs allowed inside the store which was difficult as a solo traveller. Clean toilets and showers, although mixed gender and only 3 showers, 3 toilets. Fine with mixed but more cubicle would help! Lovely staff, owner and on site wardens, very helpful and accommodating. Stunning views from each pitch and on the farm walk. Unfortunately, had a poor sleep due to the road noise all night, bin men arriving loudly at 3am, neighbours in the tent next to me talking loudly till 1am. Another sleeper snoring extremely loudly. even with noise cancelling headphones/ear plugs, I was woken constantly. The site overall is wonderful but very loud and not great for light sleepers.
Amazing!

We had a fantastic stay at the campsite. The toilets were well maintained, as well as the sink area and the grounds. We loved the farm trail walk, and the little cafe on site was such a nice touch. The owners were also really friendly!

Small and cosy camping site. If you have a trailer tent, like we do, make sure to mention it with your reservation, as we had a pitch that was a bit difficult to reach with the trailer. But they helped us out with that. Beautiful view, good facilities, nice farm shop on hand, pub nearby. Small downside: slightly noisy road alongside, but if you can ignore that, it's a lovely camping site.

This is an amazing little gem of a site, 10 minutes off the M6 it is an ideal base for exploring the South Lakes area. The site itself is on a working farm but you wouldn't notice it apart from the "view the cows milking experience". There is a very well stocked artisan farm shop and a café and outside deli serving absolutely delicious food. The self vend fresh milk machine sells delicious, straight-from-the-cow milk, far superior to pasteurised, shop-bought milk. The tent pitches themselves are very spacious and are well-drained and maintained. Michelle, the site warden, deserves special mention as she was extremely welcoming and helpful. It's a small site and has a great relaxing atmosphere. It's suitable for young and old with plenty of easy walks surrounding the area. Sizergh Castle is definitely worth a visit, take a picnic and eat it by the lake. The site shower facilities and kitchen area are kept spotless. There are raised barbeque stands if that's your bag. The site is well lit where needed and the pathways are fairly smooth so no twisted ankles going to the loo at midnight 😄. Overall I cannot recommend this site enough and will definitely be booking again. Five stars all the way. 💥💥💥💥💥

Great location, nice clean facilities, lovely camp walk, enjoyed seeing the cows be milked and walk back to their field each day. Pitches nice and spaced out. Shop a little overprice however Asda was 7 minutes away which was great. Lady who was taking care of the site and cleaning, she stayed in the caravan on site was lovely very welcoming. Lovely to chat to. The owner of the site, however, was very abrupt and was not very welcoming when being spoken to. Was not very nice when being told we had to pay more for our tent as it was classed as the sized up price, which we were absolutely fine in paying. Told us to make sure we book the right one next time.

This is a wonderful, compact site, on a working farm. The hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and always available. The site has a kitchen area with a kettle, fridge and freezer available for campers, and the other side of the block is the toilet, shower and washing area all of which is in immaculate condition and very clean. There is a café and extensive farm shop and campers can look into the barn and watch the cows being milked. I'll definitely be returning.

Brilliant campsite, friendly rep who greeted us on site with lots of useful information. Location was easy to find and tent pitches clearly marked, location was easy to drive to the lakes and local towns and restaurants. The pitches are huge, we had 2 x 4 man tents and easily fit on one pitch no problems at all lots of space all the way around us. Toilets and showers were surprisingly very clean and hot showers very easy to use and close to pitches. The onsite cafe for breakfast was okay, not the best not the worst. We first ordered pancakes and couldn't touch them as the homemade syrup was poor, but the staff quickly refunded us and let us switch for a hot breakfast which was lovely. Lovely campsite, will be staying again!

We had a brilliant time at Sizergh! Our 10-year-old son, who had never been camping before, absolutely loved it. The campsite is well-kept and clean, and the staff were lovely and helpful throughout our stay. The farm shop and café are charming. There is even the chance to watch cows being milked from the café daily—an interesting and unique experience. Taking a walk around the farm trail was a highlight, leading us through beautiful trees and fields. It's definitely worthwhile. There is also plenty to do nearby, we visited Lakeland Maze Farm Park, which has an excellent massive outdoor play area, a petting farm with llamas, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs, cows, sheep etc. Separate soft play areas for under 3 and over 3. The tractor ride was a hit, it gives a fun tour and an interesting history of their farm. Sizergh Castle is right next door. As National Trust members, we got free entry, but even without the membership, it's well worth the visit, despite the cost. The local pub, just a five-minute walk away served lovely freshly cooked food, it was cosy and welcoming too. The nearest supermarket was Asda in Kendal and was only a 5-10 minute drive away so it's handy. While some people have mentioned road noise, we didn't notice it enough to be bothered by it at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already talking about going back - would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a great camping experience.
