A note from the site themselves...

We moved from Essex to Cornwall in 2019 to begin our dream of running our own Campsite. The spring and summer are wonderful, it's just fantastic to see our site come to life with visitors from near and far! Cornwall is the most stunning county and there are so many great events to visit and new places to explore with our adult children and two labradors, there's just never enough time!

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2024

Absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, Kerrie and Craig were amazing and made us feel so welcome. They even bent over backwards to let us stay an extra night because of the bad weather. We can't wait to go back. Location and amenities are fantastic. We are already looking at our next dates and bringing our friends with us. We have found the perfect place to go and relax from our busy, busy lives. Thank you so much, can't wait to come back.

FAQ

Check-in is from 1pm-5pm and you must vacate your pitch before 11am on day of departure.

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome here, provided they are kept on a lead whilst onsite. Par Sands (9.3 miles) nearby is dog friendly all year.

Both BBQs and fire pits are available to hire directly from the site - open campfires are not permitted.

The beach at Porthpean (5.5 miles) is just a short drive away with incredible coastal views looking out over Gerrans Bay, and with easy access to the South West Coast Path. The nearly two mile sandy stretch at Carlyon Bay (6.3 miles) is within easy driving distance too. Spend the day at Charlestown and wander through Poldark country on a visit to the picturesque Georgian harbour before heading to the beach - just five miles from the site! Other attractions within easy reach include: *Lost Gardens of Heligan (5.8 miles) - popular Cornish attraction set nearby Mevagissey with plenty of wildlife and history to explore. Dog friendly. *Eden Project (7.4 miles) - arguably Cornwall's most famous attraction, with beautiful gardens and an abundance of plantlife housed within the biomes here. *Mevagissey (8.7 miles) - a traditional Cornish fishing village with a working harbour and a selection of shops, cafes, pubs and more to try. *Truro (14.3 miles) - home of the tranquil Trelissick Garden and Royal Cornwall Museum. *Lanhydrock (20.3 miles) - stunning Victorian country house with stunning gardens and no less than 50 rooms to explore!

Awnings, gazebos and pup tents are permitted. These must fit within your pitch and can only be used for storage.

The area is blessed with so many beautiful beaches! One highlight amongst many is Par Sands which is enormous, sandy and dog friendly at any time of year.

And once you've shaken the sand from your towel you might like to try a round of golf in St Austell or a wonderful day out at the famous Eden Project.

If you're a fan of the TV show, have a go at spotting Ross Poldark in Charlestown harbour (if you're lucky!) which is around five miles from this base.

Other great spots to try include:

  • The Eden Project is only 7.4 miles away
  • The Lost Gardens Of Heligan at only 5.7 miles
  • Mevagissey fishing village 8.7 miles
  • The cathedral city of Truro 14 miles
  • Boskell horse riding centre 4.4 miles
  • Porthpean Beach swimming and water sports 5.6 miles
  • Carlyon Bay 6.3 miles

It's up to you to do as much or as little as you want!
