Great place to camp. Flat ground and good sized pitches. The toilets and showers are the cleanest I've ever experienced when camping. Plenty of them too, no queuing! Good dish washing facilities and a large freezer for ice packs. We love the basic sites with no bars/entertainment, it means getting out and exploring the surrounding area, and we weren't disappointed. There are beautiful beaches, it was like being abroad! Lots of other local attractions too. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. Happily upgraded us to a camping pod when I was in pain with my back after a few nights in our tent. We will definitely go back, might treat ourselves to a Shepherd's hut next time! Prices are very reasonable.

Lovely campsite, great location for exploring Cornwall only 20-30 mins from Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Penzance and St Ives. Campsite was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in Rosie one of the glamping pods and it was beautiful, very comfortable and plenty of space. Will definitely stay here again when we are in Cornwall.

This campsite was ideally situated as the bus stop was a short walk away which you could take the bus to Hayle, St Ives and Penzance. The beach is only a 1.5 miles away and there is plenty of room for everyone. The campsite is level and the pitches have plenty of space for all your outdoor furniture needs. The owners are very welcoming and helpful when it comes to local knowledge and places to visit. We had a wonderful week and are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Just got back from a lovely stay at the Old Stables Campsite, it has everything you need there. Facilities were great and extremely clean!! Owners are really nice and helpful. Ended up staying there an extra 2 nights, so I could explore more of Cornwall. Would definitely return again and fully recommend to anyone to check it out.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The site owners are so friendly and helpful. The improvements since our last stay are incredible. The toilets and showers are so very well maintained at all times, clean and tidy. The washing up area, the availability to freeze your ice packs and the donation area for non-perishables. It was great to have the electric hook up this time. Given it was fairly busy, the site was very peaceful. The location is great for us as I have friends who are local and we were within easy reach of the fabulous Cornish coastline beaches. Ooh, and the added bonus of the on-site breakfast van and visiting pizza van! Just superb. Thank you Jayne and Mike, we look forward to a return visit.

Spacious level pitches, immaculate facilities, excellent location for St Ives & St Michael's Mount. And, most of all, really helpful, friendly owners! (Did I mention the fab homemade cakes too?!)

Great facilities. Clean and more than enough so you're not queuing in the mornings. Good value. Food van. Good location, central to all in south west Cornwall.

The owners were both very welcoming and helpful. We arrived quite late and they stayed on site so we could check in. They were very helpful and polite. The site was very clean and tidy. Showers were good for a campsite. Plenty of toilets/showers available. The beach is only a short drive away and shops close by too. Would highly recommend.

Jayne and Mike run a brilliant campsite with lots of character and in an ideal spot for exploring nearby beaches and towns. The facilities were lovely and clean with enough showers and loos, so you weren't waiting for people to finish. The washing up area was very well kept and there was plenty of fridge/freezer space. Already recommended to friends and family. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Just got back from spending 12 nights camping and we didn't want to come home. The campsite has clean toilets, hot showers and clean washing up facilities. Friendly owners too, what more could you ask for? Would definitely go back.

Old Stables campsite is exactly what it says. Basic, but has everything you need for a base camp; friendly staff, clean facilities and a flat field with pitches around the edge and space to play games in the middle.

We had a lovely stay here. Myself and my 9 year old had a few days away with the ease of having a tent already pitched for us. The hosts were lovely, chatty, helpful, informative and nothing was too much trouble. They were on site most of the time which gave us peace of mind. Lovely big field for kids to play on and we even had the ice cream van visit one night! Facilities were cleaned regularly and more than adequate for camping. Surrounding area has loads to do and explore if you're happy to drive. A great, pleasant site to stay at.

Cosy pod, clean and comfortable. Onsite facilities were basic but functional. The campsite was somewhat exposed as it was quite high up - fine during a heatwave, but might be a bit chilly otherwise. It was also quite close to the A road so there was some traffic noise.

Where we are located, it can be exposed depending on the time of year and the direction of the wind, but the pods are built to protect campers from the elements. Apart from our new showers, our other facilities are old, but as you say, functional and we do hope to replace them in the next few years as part of our plans to build the business gradually and keep the site as affordable as possible for our guests. Unfortunately we do get some noise from A30 when the wind is in a certain direction, especially this time of the year when there is increased traffic. We hope you will visit again in the future. This was a very nice quiet and peaceful site, which had very friendly staff who are happy to help. Location was very convenient for South Cornwall and still a great price compared to other campsites in the area.

It was the perfect holiday! The facilities were amazing and Mike and Jayne were incredibly friendly, helpful, and considerate too. We will definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Cornwall! The accommodation was very homely and exactly what we were looking for! The bed was also very comfortable - so that's a plus too! Thank you for such a great holiday!

The Old Stables is a lovely and small campsite. Definitely one for people who want to have a quieter stay, as there is a 9pm curfew on noise, something I hugely appreciated. Pitches are incredibly spacious, and very level, with basically no rocks. Showers and toilets are, as the site says, basic. But they do the trick and there's more than enough for the number of people on site. Washing up facilities are great, and there's a freezer for ice blocks and a small fridge. If you're afraid of pheasant noises, then this won't be the site for you, especially on the far right side, as there is a pheasant farm next door. However, you barely notice them after an hour or so. It's perfectly located to get to Gwithian and the beaches, as well as Godvrey. Jayne and Mike the owners are friendly and welcoming, and make the site that extra bit special. Definitely stay here if you can.
