About Mena Farm

Tucked at the end of a quiet lane, this camping and glamping site captures the feeling of Cornwall's country relaxation, far from the buzz of busy resorts. Set in 15 acres of Cornish land, you'd never guess it's close to the A30 with excellent access to many sandy beaches and attractions. It's within easy reach of the Camel Trail cycle route and other bike paths (bikes are available to hire). On site, head on one of the many nature walks around the farm, collect eggs from the chickens or go fishing for tiddlers in the pond (you'll need to show an EA licence). This family-friendly farm is a truly peaceful haven, not to mention the incredible stargazing and the Cornish sunsets. There are a set of pitches on grass and hardstanding with optional 10 amp electric. Or you can go back to basics in a wild meadow - the more adventurous option! Besides camping, the site offers a host of furnished glamping options from standard bell tents, Lotus Belle tents and glamping cabins equipped with all you need. Modern shared facilities are nearby. Try a stylish stay in a bell tent (sleeps four) with two futon beds and a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress. Although there is no electricity, these tents have solar panels for lighting and phone charging. Choose a bell tent in the main camping field that overlooks the play area or the more adventurous wild meadow, just a short walk away from the main field. Located in a private corner of the camping field, the three luxurious adult-only Lotus Belle Tents are perfect for couples (sleeps two). These offer a double bed with a memory foam mattress, bedding and an electric kettle, toaster, and an induction hob. You can also stay in one of the two beautiful glamping cabins (sleeps four). Spacious but cosy, the cabins are fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. This includes central heating, a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and ensuite bathrooms. Finally, there's Dolly, the vintage caravan. Over 50 years old and a lifetime of adventure, Dolly sleeps two comfortably for a quirky getaway. Pets are welcome on pitches and in the accommodation, but sorry, they cannot stay in glamping bell tents unless by prior agreement.

The site is open year round for camping, touring and glamping cabins, with bell tents and the vintage caravan available between May and September.

A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to our site, we are Ali and Neil. We escaped the corporate world and moved here back in the spring of 2017, accompanied by Ollie, the campsite doggo.

We fell in love with the farm as soon as we saw it. Since becoming the proud owners, we have embarked upon a programme of constant improvement. We take great pride in re-investing every penny we make back in to what we do, and we work hard to ensure that everyone enjoys their stay.

Running a campsite is a world away from the publishing and management consultancy lives we used to lead, and a lot more fun! Our goal is to provide a tranquil place for you all to switch off and unwind. We hope that you agree…

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

The site is set in a wonderful location with beautiful views. Access to major roads was good but just far enough away to still be peaceful. The facilities were clean on the surface but maybe could do with a deep clean. The biggest thing for me was the games barn. The pool table was fun but cue had a terrible nib on it, making it hard to play. Table was very dusty, one of the machine wouldn't work and the football table was falling apart. Still would definitely recommend the site and would go again.

Site's response

Hi Ben - thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. With the shower block - yes, I'm afraid we've had to struggle through the Summer season with damage from a water leak that has impaired some of the ceilings, walls and flooring. We will be undertaking some major renovations this winter, in addition to the usual re-paint etc. I am sorry you had some problems in the play barn - we have plenty of spare snooker cue tips. If we'd known you were encountering issues, we could have replaced this immediately, and turned on the air hockey machine for you. We'll take a look at the table football - thank you for bringing this to our attention. With kind regards, Alison and Neil.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

I stayed with my two children for two nights. We chose the site as it was very close to the Eden project and had everything we needed. The site is well maintained, clean and has everything you would need and more if you are camping. Owners and staff are friendly, food vans turn up regularly in the evenings and a fresh coffee van in the mornings. My only gripe would be the unisex toilets and showers, I'm not fussed. But I could see some children being nervous including my own as it was unisex. Otherwise it's a great site, can't fault it and would recommend staying if visiting the area. My children loved it.

Site's response

Hi Kristian - thank you for your kind review. We do appreciate that unisex facilities aren't for everyone, but there are several safety precautions in place for peace of mind, and many of our families appreciate that they do make family shower time so much easier. I hope this didn't detract from your enjoyment of our little site too much. Thanks again and kind regards, Ali & Neil
