While enjoying your camping experience at The Secret Garden Touring Park, you're perfectly placed for exploring the wider area of Fenland. Steeped in history, folklore and traditions, Fenland is in itself a voyage of discovery.
About The Secret Garden Touring Park
This is a relaxed, 11 acre site of low occupation (just 45 pitches) focusing on the study and enjoyment of wildlife, and a real camping experience in the heart of the Fens. By keeping occupation low, the site offers a genuine 'back to nature' camping experience with top-quality amenities where you can relax and enjoy your own space and have the freedom to explore. The garden and meadow plots are numbered 1-10 and serviced with water and a 16 amp electric hook-up to each pitch. There are also five unserviced camping plots on the far side of the meadow, and a camping pod - the Skypod. This cosy pod sleep two adults and two children. Adjacent there is 'Fen Park,' incorporating a further ten fully serviced pitches and ten glamping pitches.

There are four grass pitches without EHU on the meadow and five on Fen Park.
5 x Garden Serviced Pitches
Grass pitches in a nice secluded part of the site, with water and electric connections.
5 x Meadow Serviced Pitches
The meadow is ideal for families and group bookings, all the pitches look out onto a grassed communal area and are right next to the toilet and shower block. These all have electric and water connections.

Site rules and policies
1. One pitch = one vehicle and typical family 2 adults and 2 / 3 children.
2. Please familiarise yourself with our site safety guidelines displayed and clearly labelled on the main notice board in the amenity block. This document is updated to give notice of any additional information and precautions that may be relevant during your stay.
3. Please note the location of fire points, and fire drill in the event of fire, as detailed on the main notice board in the amenity building. When siting your equipment please observe the min 6 metre rule to neighbouring equipment
4. We do allow camp fires and barbecues under adult supervision at all times. Please use the fire pits provided and keep fires small and safe. Dispose of any fire and BBQ embers or coals in the designated steel bins which are located at the fire points around the site. Please do not use these bins for any other waste.
5. The Small Paddock is provided as an off lead dog exercise area. Please keep your dog under control at all times, and under the supervision of a responsible adult, to ensure that any droppings are cleaned up immediately. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on all other parts of the site.
6. Please respect the peace of the site and consider others. No unreasonable noise, shouting music, dogs barking etc. Please be particularly aware of this after 10pm, our younger visitors are sleeping after a hard days play. If you are disturbed by unreasonable site noise, please bring this to our attention immediately by using the mobile number on the front of this leaflet At any time
7. We are not opposed to ball games but please be aware of other people and their property.
8. Please supervise children within the utility's block, to ensure they are using the facilities correctly & safely. In the interest of safety and respect to other visitors please do ensure your children do not use this area and the surrounding steps / ramp for group playground games such as hide & seek tiggy - etc.
9. The speed limit on site is 5 mph remember there are children enjoying the site.
10. Please be aware that the immediate entrance to the site and yard area up to the office and shop is part of a working nursery and brewery, used by tractors, heavy vehicles and lorries. With this in mind supervision of children is of up most importance in this area.
11. Please respect site livestock. If our pigs are resident in the wooded area you are welcome to feed them with the raw vegetables that we leave out. Please enquire with a member of staff if in doubt. Please be aware that pigs are heavy and fast runners and can have a very keen bite if alarmed. Please also be aware of the electric tape on the inside lower part of the fence, if you inadvertently catch this you will experience an electric shock. Only enter the chicken enclosure with a member of staff.
12. The Secret Garden is a wild garden site as with any wild site it is the natural environment for many species of wild flora & fauna including toadstools, and berry producing plants that may be harmful if eaten.
13. Please use only breathable ground sheets where ground sheets are used.
14. Departure time is by 11.30.

Things to do on site and in the Wisbech area
On site there is a small herd of Gloucester Old Spot pigs from Bramblebee Farms, chickens and a diverse range of bird and mammal wildlife, including green and greater spotted woodpeckers, jays, barn owls, finches, hedgehogs, stoats, moles, hares, muntjac deer, foxes, voles and rabbits.
Seasonal insects are also widespread on site, attracted by the nectar-rich planting throughout, and the ongoing careful management of the meadow.
Families can tuck into a bite in the mushroom picnic area, dip into the maze, or explore the living green room, a willow play structure created by Livingwillow.
The award winning ales from the on site brewery, Mile Tree Brewery, are something you must taste from The Secret Garden's shop, along with famous local sausages, local cider, jams and preserves - it can all form the best camping brekkie ever.
There are bushcraft workshops operated by Fenland Bushcraft, flatland craft opportunities involving woad and eco dying and beekeeping sessions all on offer to guests, for a modest extra fee.
