We changed our camping dates and our stay duration. We stayed at the hollies on Saturday and Sunday night, 17-18 of August.

We had a fantastic time at the Hollies campsite! The location is brilliant, supermarkets nearby, the sea is a stones throw away and was very quiet and peaceful. The toilets were clean as was the shower block, however they were closed at inconvenient times for cleaning, meaning access to the toilets was limited. We also attended on the August bank holiday weekend so was very busy but we were still able to have a relaxing time.

Very nice site and close to the beach. Not a sandy beach but perfect for dog walks. Big grass pitches with electric hook up and water close by. Could have done with an on site shop but other than that a nice few days.

Loved our first visit to The Hollies, nearest supermarket was 2 minutes away in the car! Beach was spotless! Prepare for lots of stairs! Perfect for families & dog owners. Toilets & showers were constantly being cleaned. We used the family shower room, which was great! Very friendly families on site. Only negative was the kids park could be slightly bigger and that the shower/toilet block had no running water on our last morning!

Love the place, nice and clean and relaxing. Little shop on site or a mobile van that sells newspapers, milk and eggs.

Lovely stay in cliff top camping field. Loads of space. I did find the shower a bit too hot!

We had a wonderful family stay and would definitely recommend. The park was clean, bathroom facilities were very good, and the closeness to the beach cannot be beaten. It's only a short drive to Southwold and Lowestoft. Plus a supermarket and various food outlets are only a few minutes drive. The early morning coffee van on site was wonderful as was the fish and chip van.

Really lovely campsite, would go again, not too busy and right next to the beach. We camped in a tent but had lots of space around us to play games, and weren't disrupted with noise or other groups.
Great location, great showers, great staff

Went with 2 children under 5 and had a great stay. Very close to a stunning view…although the beach is quite a trek. Visited Southwold and that was great. Good showers, not that busy.
Great location, good value for money

Great location right next to the beach. Very good value for money, bus stops outside the site and Lowestoft and Southwold on your doorstep. Friendly staff, bit rough round the edges. Toilet blocks need more cleaning and the overflowing bins weren't the best. Overall, you get what you pay for and I would go back.

When we arrived, we was 3 hours later then we said due to work & then traffic. This wasn't a problem as the lovely park warden was there to help at the late hour we arrived. We were allowed to pitch where we were comfortable. We brought our beloved pet with us so he was included in our mini holiday. The toilet was cleaned regularly, had plenty of cubicles & was open 24 hours. There was a coffee hut just a minute from where we camped. We were a minute away from the beach entrance, everything seemed spot on. The only complaint I have is unfortunately on our last night, very late in the evening, there was an altercation our tent. I had 2 small children with me so it was quite frightening for them, other then this, everything was great. We will be back again.
Excellent short stay

The park warden was very helpful and escorted you to your pitch and to make sure electric worked. The fish and chip shop on site was excellent big portions and not overpriced. Bus stop right outside to visit Southwold. Direct access down the steep steps to the beach. The toilet and shower block were not very clean, possibly due to the children's school holidays and them running wild everywhere.

A lovely campsite central to a lot of amenities and sites to visit. All the staff onsite do their upmost to make your stay welcoming. The cleaning staff are second to none, they do a brilliant job keeping the toilets and showers clean. Washing up facilities are good and the laundry room open 24/7. The beach is good and the seats at the cliff top has a brilliant view over the sea. What would be good is a little shop with necessities, although there is a supermarket a couple of miles away, the fish and chip shop on site is excellent. Most definitely will book again.

This is a good sized, family friendly campsite with super helpful staff. We felt safe and comfortable, with access to everything we needed. There is a Morrisons a 5-minute drive away for supplies and access to the beach down some (steep) steps. We were running a bit late and I rang to check we could still get access and they helpfully assured me someone would be available. For kids, there's a football field and a play area. It wasn't busy so kids were playing out by tents as well. Vans and tourers were in a separate space to tents, which were in the seaside field that had separate segments. The only downside, the site does say minimal noise after 23:00 but that isn't enforced. We had terrible sleep due to loud music, although to be fair, people did turn it down a bit when I asked and they were okay about that at gone midnight. It's a tricky one, as you get this everywhere, but it can make a challenging following day when you need your sleep.

A great find on the Suffolk coast, formal yet relaxed site, suits all types. Recommended to us by friends and convenient for a quick weekend away at the opposite end of our home county to fit in with other plans. Well presented site on entry. Welcoming reception staff and warden. Good security. Stayed on Hay Field where there were generous sized and immaculate grass pitches with electric. Toilet/shower block a sensible distance away. Always clean. Loved the breakfast wagon and F&C option in the evenings. Playground suitable for smaller children. Football pitch area for larger children with goals and golf. Areas of wildlife and picnic tables. Direct access to a sandy beach, but beware steps are quite steep. Beautiful views. New fully serviced pitch area under construction. Five stars for all this! Location/facilities only marked down to a 4 star rating due to the fact that it is a 10-15 minute walk in one direction to a supermarket/retail park or 20-30 minute walk to the village/other beaches/amenities in the other direction, so that is to be borne in mind. A small shop area with the basics would be really handy because of this. Additional well drained pathways around the first toilet/shower block would be useful. We experienced excessive rain and due to the construction work being carried out on the fully serviced pitch area, the only grass route around to the washing up area/ladies was waterlogged. Recommend heading into the small village for a look around. Free car park on Church Lane, walking distance to beach. Pub with live music. The Waterfront restaurant serves excellent food for all tastes. Lovely gift shop on approach. Site suits all age ranges. Although appears formal, atmosphere is actually relaxed. An enjoyable stay (despite the weather!) and will return either ourselves, with our son, or with friends!
Perfect campsite!

The location is great! Really close to the beach, a short walk, but also very close to a supermarket as well as restaurants if necessary, and the train station is not far. The service was perfect and all the staff were extremely helpful. The site itself was clean and enjoyable, and overall, our experience was great. I would highly recommend, especially for the price.
