About Forest and Wye Valley Camping
This peaceful touring site is situated just outside the village of St Briavels in the charming Forest of Dean. Walkers will be spoiled for choice with trails that lead you past historic monuments and through picturesque heritage sites. The site has 26 grass pitches welcoming tents and small campervans, along with 17 hardstanding pitches for tourers welcoming up to six people each. All of the pitches come with an optional electric hook up and a TV point (cables available) so you can still enjoy your home comforts. Set in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is the perfect location for exploring the great outdoors. Whether it's canoeing down the River Severn, building forts in the forest or climbing the rocks at Symonds Yat, there is something for everyone. For glampers, the site also offers a cosy pod for two. Inside you will find a double sofa bed with bedding, along with a dining table, chairs, a TV and a small kitchen area. Outside, there are also sun loungers for unwinding. BBQs and fire pits are welcome, just please ensure they are raised off of the ground. The site has bricks available if needed. Dogs are welcome, just please ensure the site is informed beforehand. No dogs named under the Dangerous Animal Act will be allowed on site.

Things to do on site and in the Lydney area
Surrounded by stunning countryside, fascinating attractions and within easy reach of the coast, you will truly be spoiled with things to keep you busy.
Just five minutes away you will find Puzzlewood, made famous for being the location where Merlin, Doctor Who, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and much more were filmed. The woodland is full of trails and wildlife, perfect for a day of exploring for all of the family.
Clearwell Caves are also just a five minute drive away, here you can explore nine caverns and even try your hand at caving. You can earn the history of thousands of years of mining, and even spot a bat flying overhead.
Symonds Yat Rock (15 minutes) sits 120 metres above the River Wye. The perfect challenge for keen climbers who can enjoy stunning panoramic views across the valley when they reach the top.
If you're wanting to enjoy a day out at the beach, there are plenty to visit within an hour's drive. Severn Beach (30 minutes) enjoys stunning views over to South Wales, great for walks along the shore. Or, if you would rather a day of swimming and rock pooling then Portishead Beach (45 minutes) is a wonderful day out.
