Why you'll love it at Ashbourne Touring and Camping Park
About the site
If you're after a quiet caravan getaway on the edge of the Peak District, this is just the ticket. The site offers hardstanding pitches with 16 amp electric hook up for touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans. For rallies, there's a large rally field with electric and non-electric pitches available, as well as a couple of tent pitches on a slight slope. Rallies can only book between April and September. The site also has a number of seasonal pitches for sale. There are plenty of spectacular walking trails close by, such as the Tissington Trail (a traffic free trail starting in Ashbourne), as well as routes like the Monsal Trail and the Mam Tor Trail that take you through the limestone dales of the Peak District. If you're more partial to a gentle stroll and cup of tea, check out the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek, ten minutes away and 30 minutes away respectively. The site allows a maximum of two dogs per pitch, but requests that you keep them on leads while onsite. No campfires, sorry.
