About Tree Tops and Train Tracks
Escape the day to day stresses at this off-grid, eco campsite. Set just 15 minutes from the River Dee estuary and on the edge of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a perfect spot for nature lovers and adventures alike. The site offers just six camping pitches, all on a lawn floor in the heart of the 18 acre woodland. The pitches vary in size with one small, three medium and two large pitches. All of the pitches here allow tents only, accommodating between three and six guests. For a unique, woodland experience, opt for one of the treetop ready tents. From Tentsile, the tents are strung up between the trees so you can enjoy a bird's eye view, great for wildlife spotting. The Stingray tree tent is a single level tent that sleeps up to three guests with room for your belongings, ideal for a young family. For larger groups, The Buzzard offers a stack of tents reaching up to nearly 20ft and sleeping up to four adults or a young family of six. Each stack has an additional level with a fly netting for you to read, play games or relax and chill with a glorious view. It also has an additional hammock level at the bottom to enjoy. Please note, due to the entrance of the treetop tents being at the centre, individual sleeping compartments are set around the edge of the tents. Bedding is also not provided and individual sleeping bags/blankets will need to be brought due to the sleeping arrangement. These tents also have weight limit of 100kg/person and they do require a level of agility to access them. The site also recommends you bring a blanket or sleeping mat for underneath you but not a blow up bed, extra blankets are also advised to keep you warm. Whether you're snuggled up in your tent, nestled down by the campfire, listening to the birds, headed out to the hills or towns, or discovering all that is Cymraeg, you're sure to have an unforgettable experience! Please note, dogs are not allowed due to the surrounding wildlife, sorry.
Tree Tops and Train Tracks is open from 30/03 to 29/09 in 2024 and from 11/04 to 28/09 in 2025.
