About Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping
Surrounded by moorland and farmland, this 3.5-acre site offers an idyllic base for days of exploring. Head to Stoke-on-Trent for a day of shopping or strap on your walking boots and venture out to the nearby Peak District National Park. Carefully located, each pitch is very well spaced and all offer fabulous views of the meandering Staffordshire Moorlands hills. The site offers 17 fully serviced grass pitches, each suitable for a tent, trailer tent motorhome or campervan and 5 non serviced camping pitches suitable for tents or campervans. The pitches each include a 10 amp electric hook-up, and a fresh drinking water tap. You will also be provided with your own complimentary fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows of an evening for that traditional camping experience. Firewood is available to purchase onsite at just £5 per sack or you can bring your own. We have a "Campers Kitchen" which has dish washing facilities, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, a fridge and a freezer and all are free to use. Like to camp but without having to pitch up your tent? The site also has two luxury glamping bell tents on offer, each sleeping up to five guests. Inside the tents are equipped with a double bed along with two or three single folding beds which can transform into seating. To keep you cosy on those cooler evenings you will also be provided with a heater, along with a foldable table and chairs, lighting and electric. Please note, beds are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding and any cooking equipment and dishes and pots that you may require. Outside of your bell tent, you will also have a fire pit and picnic bench to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining as you marvel at your surroundings. BBQs are also welcome onsite, so you're more than welcome to bring one with you! We have separate Ladies and Gents toilet and shower units which are cleaned and monitored throughout every day. Friendly dogs are also welcome onsite too, with up to two allowed per pitch.

Site facilities include toilets, wash basins, showers, a washing up area a Campers Kitchen and a small playground.
For picking up the essentials, there is a Co-op store just a 15 minute walk away or less than three minute drive.. Your nearest pub is the White Hart Inn in Tean where you will also find a Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop.

This was the perfect campsite for us. It was kept immaculate by the lovely, friendly wardens, Sharon and David, and the facilities were great. Plenty of loos, hot powerful showers, and a campers kitchen were very much appreciated by us. The herb garden, free firepit hire and little hut with tourist info leaflets and a huge range of books for campers to borrow are great extras. The little play area had enough to keep my 9 year old entertained and was at the centre of the pitches, so it's great for watching kids from your tent. Our non electric pitch was a really good size and, while it wasn't completely flat, the slight slope didn't bother us at all. Other campers were very respectful of each other, most were in their tent by 10pm and it was lovely and quiet even before that. I think this is the real benefit of a small campsite and one with wardens who have a good presence throughout the day (in a very nice, unobtrusive way). I would definitely recommend this campsite and wouldn't hesitate to come back if I need to stay in the area again. Great for families wanting to visit Alton Towers.

Great place to stop over for a trip to Alton Towers. Facilities were great - we weren't expecting a microwave, kettle, fridge or freezer. Fire pit was great and loved the fairy lights around the campsite to make it feel special. We felt happy and safe here. Thank you.

We have really enjoyed our stay ay Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping. The views around the campsite are simply breathtaking with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The facilities were also excellent and hygienic, being cleaned daily by the owners. But the highlight for us was the friendliness of Sharon and David (the owners) who would quite often walk around the campsite asking how our day was or simply saying hello. They even offered to let us use their gas because we had ran out. Really worth the money we paid. I can't recommend enough. Thank you for a fantastic time.

Things to do on site and in the Stoke-on-Trent area
Alton Towers Theme Park is just a 15 minute drive from the site, great for adrenaline junkies. Take a ride on the large rollercoasters, get spooked in the dungeons or splash around in the waterpark!
There are also many other local attractions such as Trentham Gardens Visitor Centre and the Trentham Monkey Forest (20 minutes) - the perfect places to explore the natural world.
Two working steam railways will take you through beautiful scenery nearby, The Foxfield Railway (10 minutes) and the Churnet Valley Railway (15 minutes) - both run throughout the year. Take a ride through the glorious Staffordshire countryside in style.
There are countryside walks and cycle routes which will take you on an unmissable tour of the area. Within a 20 minute drive you can be in the world fabulous Peak District with charming towns such as Buxton Spa town and Matlock, famous for Abraham Heights Leisure Park and the Blue John Mines.
