Heathfield Camping offers 9 acres of unspoiled countryside on the beautiful West Wight. It is ideally located for guests to enjoy the amazing walks and countryside that the island has to offer. There are magnificent sea and downland views, a wild flower meadow and excellent facilities. Pitches are very generous in size, with or without electric. Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Pet Friendly)Jul 2022

Absolutely loved our stay! Very friendly staff and campsite had a little park area in the centre, which was fantastic for our kids. Kept them entertained whilst we got all the boring stuff sorted.

A great site. Brian who runs the site is cheerful and knowledgeable. Pitch size large. Very good facilities. Definitely recommend. Bus stop outside gates. Easy walk (20min) to local shops.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Pet Friendly)Jul 2022

We had a great stay here. We were cycling around the island and it offered a perfect base. Very quiet, which suited us most of the time. Had a very nice welcome and good site owners.

Enjoyed it

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Pet Free)Jun 2022

Lovely campsite. A bit disappointing that making a real fire is not allowed (we love the fire). Great playing field. Nice hosts. Would love to see some eco friendly ideas in the future.

Fantastic site, clean and tidy. Karen and Gary were excellent, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. My only critique is that on our last night it got very busy and the toilets and showers were very very busy on our last morning, some more facilities would be good but the cleanliness was exceptional.

Really good site (if you don’t mind a few things)

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2022

Excellent location - Freshwater is the main place to shop for supplies in the west of the island - you are on the edge of town though so going in on foot is quite a trek. I didn't mind that! Friendly hosts, very well-kept grounds, good facilities. There were some drawbacks though. The site is very family-orientated. Over a busy busy bank holiday, there was just one other tent/ van in my field that didn't have kids. This could be a plus of course, if you've got them too! Incidentally there is a small enclosure for backpacking tents near the buildings - people just doing one night - the IOW Coastal Path runs nearby. The showers were closed at night and opened up again around 7 - 7.30am, so you had to get your opening times memorised. Another drawback was that there was no reliable internet. Might not be a problem if you want a break from it, but I was travelling solo and could have done with it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay and would still recommend this site. I used the local buses a lot. They stop close to the site as well as down by the shops and they were surprisingly easy to use. They took me to a lot of nice places, all over the west side of the island. I would also recommend finding the Red Lion pub and Golden Hill fort. Hidden gems, they're not far from the site as the crow flies but v tucked away!
