About Mendip Ski Camp
This family friendly campsite is not only located in the picture-perfect Mendip Hills AONB, but is a walker's paradise, with the Strawberry Line, Mendip Way and the various routes at Cheddar Gorge all nearby. If cycling is more your bag, this site doubles as a fantastic base to explore some popular Mendip cycle paths, like the Butcombe Loop. For the thrill seekers amongst you, this site is located next door to a popular ski and outdoor activity centre. There is a dry slope for those looking to dust off their skis, as well as the chance to take on archery, frisbee, golf and even water sports! Two large fields offer pitches set on grass without electric There are a wide range of pitches suitable for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. It is not just adventure this site is known for, but its' scenic location. Surrounded by woodland, there is heaps of wildlife for you and the kids to spot. Just a mile away from the quaint village of Standford, you can even treat yourself to a drink at Thatcher's Cider Farm. Campfires and BBQs are permitted, and your furry friends are more than welcome to join you!
Mendip Ski Camp is open from 25/03 to 31/12 in 2024 and all year round in 2025.

Things to do on site and in the Sandford area
Head over to Cheddar Gorge (15 minutes) to immerse yourself in 9000 years of history. Explore the caves, visit the museum of prehistory or try your hand at rock climbing.
Take the little ones to Puxton Park (15 minutes) and enjoy the soft play or check out the llamas! For the adults, head to Thatcher's Cider Farm (5 minutes) and enjoy a trail through the orchards and of course a pint of their famous cider!
Mendip Activity Centre is located next door and offers all the fun of a dry ski slope and toboggan experience. Here you can try out water sports, archery, frisbee, golf and abseiling.
