The Pig Place was amazing, we really enjoyed our stay and staff were amazing. The site was well kept, the food was amazing and we really enjoyed the bar and live music. Was quite near the motorway, which was noisy and we knew that they didn't have showers but there was no where to wash and the toilets were porta loos, which were a bit smelly. Overall, a great place.

Really quirky little campsite. Really loved staying there. Sofa's and firepits along the canal. Beautiful and well-cared for pigs in pens. Lovely café and little bar area. They had a live acoustic duo playing the night we stayed. Only downside is that they don't have showers, but this is made very clear and it didn't bother us for one night (or even a couple if we'd stayed longer). Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice walks along the canal on your door step and a little farm shop onsite selling the essentials. There was a bit of road noise through the night. Very dog friendly.

Just returned from our first stay at The Pig Place, it won't be our last. Really lovely site, a little bit quirky, but we loved that. The owners and staff made us feel really welcome all weekend. The facilities are basic, but it does explain that in the write up, so no surprise there. Food was delicious, we had dinner on the Friday night, and breakfast on the Saturday morning. Joined in the quiz on Friday night, really good fun, and a band played on the Saturday evening. Great vibe to the whole place, lovely walks and plenty of sightseeing not to far for exploring. The dogs were absolutely shattered when we got home, so winner all round. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great location, we enjoyed walking the nearby canal tow paths, also purchased some pork belly from the on-site shop which was very tasty. There was some traffic noise but it didn’t really affect the lovely setting.
Just brilliant!

Just amazing! Such fun, a quirky cool place. On the side of the canal, great grub, great bar highly recommended. A relaxed atmosphere, but the owners keep a close eye out ensuring everyone is behaving. Most definitely be back! Only gave 4 stars on cleanliness as we weren't the biggest fan of a portaloo, but the rest of the facilities more than make up for that!
Could do better

We were informed about the festival toilets and lack of showers. The toilets were very smelly. The only place to wash your hands after using them is the sinks that are used to wash your dishes. Also, people were using the same sinks to wash their bodies. We felt this to be unhygienic. Everything else was good, but this needs addressing.
Amazing!

Had an absolutely amazing weekend here. Really unique place with pigs on site, a quirky bar area and amazing food. We were very welcomed here and had a brilliant 2 nights of entertainment hosted by Aaron. It really wouldn’t have been the same without him. Thank you for the pub quiz and open mic night. We really enjoyed it and was the best weekend we’ve had in ages. I would really recommend this to anyone.

We had a grass pitch with electric, may have to invest in levelling wedges for next visit. First time we have been to a site without a shower block so would only go for one night. For a 'close-by' night away it was great, there's cooked food available in the evenings and the Sunday breakfast was excellent and very busy. There is a small shop for incidentals. M40 was a bit noisy. Good live music on Saturday night and a bar was a bonus. The sun shone so lots of people made use of the many leather sofas available throughout the site. Live music by the canal with a bar. Fife is good.
Great stay as good as ever

We had a lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend! The staff were lovely and down to earth, the entertainment was a lot of fun. I loved the little quirks like the Sty, the sofas and, of course, the gorgeous little piggies that loved belly scratches! We will definitely be staying again, we had a fantastic time!
A lively place

This was the first of many visits to the pig place. An easy going campsite with a on-site shop a food kitchen (fantastic breakfast) a licensed bar and entertainment. A well worth visit even if it is just for the breakfast.

This campsite, situated on a working farm, is delightful. It provides peace and quiet as the canal boats drift by. And then as the day gets going, there is a buzz as regulars arrive for fabulous breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning. You might think the resident pigs might be noisy and smelly but you really wouldn't know they are there! It's been my most chilled weekend this year! The only negative is the toilet facilities. The portable style toilets were not the cleanest! Had the festival scent about them!
Fantastic quirky campsite - we will return!

We had a lovely one night stay at The Pig Place. Loved the fact there was a little bar and café and that it was also next to the canal. We brought along our own wood and used one of the firepits along the canal side. Food from the café was delicious - in the morning, we had egg and bacon sandwiches, which were huge and tasty. Enjoyed seeing the pigs snuffling about. The reason why I gave a lower rating for facilities and cleanliness, was purely because of the portaloos. In the morning, I could see a gentleman cleaning them as best he could, but you cannot do a lot with portaloos and their smell! Also, the facilities (in terms of washing and toileting) were basic. We would definitely come again but would bring our own camping toilet and be better prepared.

The campsite is nicely located by the Oxford canal and you can use the sofas and fire pits (you have to buy the wood or bring your own) by the canal, whilst a small outside bar provides the drinks. The food on site is nice and reasonably priced, with burgers, sausages and veggie options available. A couple of things to note: the café attracts a lot of people stopping for breakfast or lunch, mainly bikers, so can get quite busy. Also, the campsite sits next to a B road with fast traffic, and the tent field is closest to the road, which may bother light sleepers. The staff are welcoming and happy to answer questions and serve in the shop or the café. Would recommend to visit this lovely part of the country, especially for walks or rides on the canal.

Me and my boyfriend loved it here! Super friendly vibe. Chilled out! Nice bar and lovely sitting outside. Breakfast was great. Pigs were too cute and so interesting to watch, especially when they were getting fed haha. No showers, and toilets are portaloos, but they do make you aware on site and we really don't mind that anyway :)

What an amazing site. Gorgeous location, quirky with the added bonus of some real piggy beauties! The Trough food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. The Trotters Bar in the evening, with the fire pits dotted around looked fabulous. The site was beautifully kept and the views amazing. A very well stocked shop! We had the most relaxing weekend, will definitely be back.

The name of the place tells you that there are pigs, but they don't affect or spoil your stay. Being by the Oxford canal was lovely, and apart from the distant hum of traffic from the M40 motorway, it was peaceful. We have friends and family nearby, and that was our reason for the stay. Would we stay again, yes we would. The lack of showers was a bit disappointing but we are lucky to have one in the caravan. We will definitely be staying there again, especially for one of their music events they hold there. It is an adults only site, which appealed to both of us.

We booked this site to allow us to break our journey from the North of England to Portsmouth. What a gem! Beautifully kept site, well stocked shop, quirky and interesting vibe, we ate a gorgeous full English breakfast, cooked by the chef whilst looking out over the Oxford canal, it really is a wonderful place with rare breed pigs (absolutely no smell whatsoever!) and ducks just all add to the charm of the place. Well worth a visit.
