Occupying part of what used to be a WWII airfield, Holmsley Campsite offers an ideal location in the New Forest National Park. Within a 15 minute drive of Highcliffe Beach and just 25 minutes from Bournemouth, it is the perfect place for exploring. Campers in tents and tourers have a range of pitches to choose from, including grass, hardstanding and the option of electric. Be sure to also keep an eye out for visiting New Forest ponies!

We have stayed here four times now and absolutely love this site. The staff are all really nice, the facilities are always very clean and it's in a stunning location with so many beautiful places to visit in the area. Our two dogs love the walks surrounding the site and beautiful Southbourne and steamer point sandy beaches. Cannot wait for our next visit.
Brilliant site!

This is our second stay here and I’m sure there will be plenty more. The site is peaceful and a fab place for walking with or without dogs. Lovely to see the smaller children on the site having the freedom to roam and run around safely. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. Full marks!

We were welcomed and shown to our space, which was a hardstanding electric pitch. Very quiet and spacious within close proximity of the facilities. The campsite is well maintained and staff very friendly, the only downfall I found was I felt the on site shop (The Hangar) was very expensive, £2.75 for a loaf of bread. All in all, a fantastic stay and we will definitely be going back. Thankyou for an awesome stay.

Booked a electric hardstanding pitch. On arrival, the pitch we were shown was not suitable for us as there were lots of young children and we wanted a slightly quieter pitch. Staff were very helpful and put us away from the play area. The site is very open, pitches are not "defined" and you have an area. The shop is well stocked, the on site café did breakfast and pizza at night, we didn't try, but smelt wonderful. We felt a little uncomfortable at the motorhome service point just letting the waste drain away on to the ground with no drainage, but this was what you did. Cannot fault the staff or cleanliness, the location was good too. This is an old airfield, so it's not pristine, but a great site for families with young children - lots of space to play and ride bikes etc and everyone was very friendly.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Holmsley. The staff were all friendly and happy to help, the facilities were all well kept and very, very clean. The children both played freely around the site and the park and enjoyed the playground. Brilliant local walks and cycle trails for all abilities and close to the villages and good pubs. We thoroughly enjoyed are staying and are ready to book to go back this summer. Thanks for making our trip so enjoyable.

Great location. Easy access to loads of walks and on National Cycle Route 2, with access to lots of other cycle routes. Being a former airfield, lots of genuine hardstanding.
A gem of a find!

We ended up booking this site as a booking we had elsewhere had been cancelled, fate wanted us to stay here! The staff on the gate were so friendly and welcoming, and set the tone for our stay nicely. My son made friends in the playground and there was plenty of space for the children to run around & enjoy being young! The site is in a gorgeous location and the facilities were well kept. We were sad to leave, but we will be back!

Fantastic, helpful staff. Nice pitch on hard standing, plenty of room. Could do with a few signs regarding children riding bikes unattended between pitches as we came away with a large scratch down the side of the motorhome after a child went out of control and handlebars met motorhome. Other than that, I could not fault the site.

We were at this park on probably the rainiest and windiest night possible. The staff were very friendly and we were given a choice of pitch. We were able to set up quickly and then retreated into our van for the night. Fortunately, we did not blow away. Next morning, we used the facilities which were clean and tidy.
Clean site but noisy neighbours

Clean site but some pitches difficult and noisy neighbours. Dog wash not up and running yet and no licence in shop to sell alcohol, so you must drive to get some. Very clean facilities though. The grass pitches can be tricky due to mud so be careful. Better off booking hardstanding and request to be next to the grass. On the last night, we were kept awake until 4am by the people next to us. Location is perfect though.
