Really enjoyed our stay- great location and stunning scenery. Stayed in a motorhome on grass pitch. Take ramps is my advice and if the weather is wet, get a hard pitch as I struggled to get out skidding all over the place, but did make it. Just happy camping ✌️❤️
Site's response
Thank you for your review, yes we do recommend gravel or hard base pitches when the weather is wet. You can always upgrade from grass subject to availability on the day.

The campsite is in a beautiful location and is beautifully kept with a mix of static caravans, pods, new cabins and space for touring and camping alike. Pitches could be marked more clearly to determine the colour zones.

What a lovely getaway! Thoroughly enjoyed our first camping experience. Lovely grounds, surrounding landscape and proximity to the beach. Appreciated the peace and quiet. Good facilities- only marred by the washing up and showering and laundry block being so far away from the actual camping field?! The toilets in the camping field were not the most hygenic, but better than a whole in the ground :-) Would definitely come again :-)

Booked mid in August for a stay on the 22nd and this site has space - and lots of it on the Big Berries field. This is quite sloping, but we were able to find a patch with less of a slope. We were two families camping together and you can pitch wherever you like here. I am so glad we ended up in Big Berries as the pitches in the rest of the site seemed very close together and packed in. Great shop on site and a short walk to the beach. The Anchor pub right on the sea front was great. 5 miles from Charmouth. Lots of low cloud when we camped, but had a great time. The eastern part of the site adjoins a sewage works, which was not a problem, but worth bearing in mind. A bit of a whiff on one occasion.

Toilets in Big Berries field and clean shower/wash block a minute walk away. All very clean and well run. Has a laundry room, which is great for drying towels after a day at the beach. Onsite shop had everything we needed. Can also see the coast if you pitch up on the hill a bit.

Very good site, clean and maintained well, but there is nowhere near enough showers, for the size of the camping field and there isn't enough toilets on the camping field itself. They ran out of toilet roll and hand soap quicker than they were replenished and the field was not even that full
Site's response
Thank you for the feedback of your stay with us. We are sorry if we ran out of toilet roll on occasion.
Would use again

Not been camping apart from music festivals many moons ago so was a bit nervous for my booking with my 12yo. However, there was no need to worry at all. We were in the Big Berries field which had plenty of room. Due to the mental heat, the ground was super hard, so in hind sight, would have brought hard ground pegs. Lovely breeze to cool us down that comes in off the sea. Portaloos in the field but proper toilets/ showers/washing up sinks/ laundry and freezer for freezer packs just down the hill. On site Spar, lovely pub that does pub food but also a separate little kiosk for amazing pizza and the beach just a short walk away. We also went to the sister campsite Highland's End to use their Pitch and Putt. Weren't very successful due to our skills (or lack of) and super dry grass on the course! All in all gorgeous scenery and would go back in a heartbeat.

Lovely few days. Good shop, well stocked and all staff there very friendly. Location just the best. Only suggestion for us camping in Big Berries was need for a shower block as it's a long way to the main block. If you're at the far end, it is even further. Bit noisy with music somewhere last night (Saturday) but cotton wool in ears did the job. Interesting range of accommodation. Those pods looked great, but not our budget sadly. Will return.

Booked a classic pod last minute. It was basic, but very cosy. We had a nice little outside area with a picnic bench/table and a good sized storage box. The inside was lovely, each bed had little reading lights on the wall above your head and 2 double plug sockets at the end of the beds. The pod was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. I was very impressed. The site was lovely, very clean and had everything you need for a glamping holiday. The beach next to site was gorgeous. There was a little park/play area for the kids, it was very quiet. The facilities available were of a good standard, no complaints. The location was good. 15 mins from Lyme Regis and 10 mins from West Bay and the town centre. Ideal for using it as base to visit local areas of interest. I would definitely return.

We were delighted to arrive here. It is a lively, well kept campsite with a fantastic view across the sea. There is a well stocked camp shop, with coffee available. The toilet, shower and washing blocks were always clean. We were there when there were issues with one of the blocks shower pressure and temp, but this was fixed the following morning. You can't ask for more! We camped in the berries field, which is the furthest point from anything, however there is a portable toilet block in the middle of the field and plenty of water taps. And the view is fabulous! The field is quite hilly, but there seemed to be plenty of places to pitch, which were fairly flat. You can walk to the local beach from the campsite, which takes around ten mins. There is a really nice pub right on the beach. We ordered pizza, which was about £12 per pizza and arrived very quickly. Great location too, near to Lyme Regis.

The views and location were outstanding, perfectly located for a short walk to the beach and a short drive to town. The facilities were good although the shower block located closest to the Big Berries were in need of some maintenance. One of the shower cubicle doors didn't lock and the other one's drain didn't work. Both not ideal for a public shower block. The main block closer to reception was much better laid out and better standard of facilities.
Site's response
Thank you for your review and feedback. We do apologise about the drain and the toilet which are now fixed.

We had a brilliant time here! Loved the fact you could pitch up anywhere in the field. The facilities were great - lots of toilets, always clean. Showers were warm, flooded the floor slightly, which made getting dressed a bit trickier but maybe drains just needed a bit of a clear? Great walk down to the beach - a perfect location. Some other great beaches around to visit, so was great for exploring! Wasn't noisy at night. Little shop well stocked on site. This was our first big camping experience and we are so pleased we picked such a great site! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Stayed on Big Berries field with no allocation of pitches, but it was ok and not too crowded. The field was sloping so not perfect, but it had lovely views of the sea and countryside.

My wife and 4 children stayed on the campsite for 3 nights and had an excellent break. It was really clean, friendly campsite. The Spar shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. Friendly staff on site. The beach is so close and fun was had by all.
