We stopped for an overnighter. Convenient location for traveling onwards. A large pitch for our camper, with a bench and hook up. Interesting large bird of prey on a perch to greet us! Very unusual! Great👍

A great little site. It was neat and tidy with generous pitches. Nice touch, each pitch has a picnic table with parasol. The pub is a proper country one and it's dog friendly. Handy for the M1 so good for a stopover, or as a base for exploring. Will return to this site!

What a great place for a 1 or 2 night stop over, Sue and Ian are great hosts. Pitches are well laid out and spacious, with a picnic bench for each pitch. The traditional pub next to the site is a real bonus, friendly staff and food available if pre booked. Will definitely return at some point in the future.

Our first choice for our inaugural trip in a new motor home. Beautiful location, scenic and quiet. Lovely pub with excellent real ale and the most delicious home cooked food. Brilliant with dogs. Ian, Sue and staff made us so welcome and the locals were lovely. Ken flying in the next field was magical for us. Thank you so much for two special days, we will return.
Really enjoyed our stay

large pitch, pub on the doorstep. Felt welcomed. Lovely food in the pub and good customer service. Quiet at night. We would stop again as we enjoyed our stay of 5 nights. The pitch was large and evenings were quiet. Pub on the door step had a good, welcoming atmosphere. Had a meal our second night after a 5 mile round walk and really enjoyed it. A lovely village with the school room available for brunch. Plenty of interesting places to visit in the area, via car or to walk to.

Sue and Ian are friendly hosts. Had dinner at the pub, lamb shanks to die for. Shared the campsite with Ken an extremely handsome bird of prey. Bar staff are friendly and a good range of beers. Good location for visiting various areas of the dales. Would definitely recommend, hope to get back soon, Keith and Jane.

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at this small site. Owners were very welcoming. The site is well maintained and secure. Lovely and quiet. The pub has clean toilets and sinks that we were able to use. Food in the pub was really nice, as was the atmosphere. Watched the England match and all the locals made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend this site and will be returning. Could not find any faults at all.

Great location, 2 pubs in the village. Clean and tidy all round. Toilets which are part of the pub are open 24/7. Be aware that if you don't like dogs or if your dogs don't like other dogs, there are 2 dachshunds that roam the pub. They are lovely and harmless but good to be aware. We didn't eat at the pub as the football was on, we just had drinks. We ate at the other pub around the corner, which was good. Recommend highly this site.

One night stay and made really welcome on this very nice site, which is well set up. Had to order food the day before eating, although that was not a problem and we had very nice meal in the cosy pub. We were made welcome by landlady Sue, landlord Ian, bar staff, locals and other campers alike, making for a most enjoyable evening. 6 pitches, all with electric, and all well appointed with good space and with 24 hour access to warm and clean toilets. Highly recommended.

Five pitch site attached to a quaint inn providing draught ales and tasty homemade meals. We escorted our host on a morning walk whilst Ken the Harris Hawk flew along with us. A great experience, we would recommend.

Good individual pitches and a nice pub on site (when open). Only one toilet & separate basin and two urinals for whole site, but only negative I can see.
Loved it

Visit started very well on arrival and had no issues staying in this lovely rural location. Had a few beers in the pub and felt very welcome. Unfortunately, they were not serving food while we were there so cannot comment but the landlady was taking bookings which is normally a good sign.

A lovely quiet stay at an immaculately kept small site. Conveniently located just minutes from the M1, it proved to be an excellent single-night stopover on our way home. The hosts were really welcoming (they also run The Chequers Pub) and we were really pleased that we booked in for an evening meal in advance. The food was excellent and cooked to order. The village of Stanton On Dale is a little gem and worth a walk around. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Lovely little village setting and nice country pub. Was disappointed that there were children playing football in the middle of the site when it's adults only. The pitch had lots of broken/crushed glass bedded into the gravel, which was concerning, being a dog owner. The pitch grassed area/bench is a nice touch, but found the steps up to be very steep and unstable under foot, That said was quiet, clean and I would stay again 👍
Would stay again

Great pitches at the rear of the pub, pub is very small, food only if you pre-order but you are made aware of this prior to your visit. Friendly welcome and good local recommendation. No shower but decent enough loos. Nice staggered pitches and very quiet, would definitely stay again.

Very nice and friendly! Landlady was very nice. Ken Moon is most unusual being he is there to meet & greet (Ken is a Harris Hawk!) 2 very friendly Dachshunds live there as well.
