Polruan Holidays is a kind of magical place, offering tranquillity and inspiration in equal measure. Sheep and cows graze gracefully on the rolling Cornish countryside and headland, while birds sing out from their nests within the hedgerows. The 45 miles of magnificent panoramic sea views are a highlight.
About Polruan Holidays
Polruan is the perfect spot for walkers, photographers, artists, fishermen, and bird watchers alike - and anyone else looking to relax, unwind and enjoy the charming Cornish location. Surrounded by National Trust and farmland with views across the headland and the sea beyond, the three acre park is licensed for 40 camping pitches, but chooses to accommodate a maximum of 26 well-spaced pitches, all set around the edge of the fields to give everyone space and freedom to relax. The park is divided into three main areas and all pitches have their own adjacent parking area. The first enclosure (top area) is home to ten well-spaced static holiday homes in a circular garden-like setting, four for hire, five privately owned and one currently available for sale. There are also seven adults only touring caravan/motorhome pitches, all on gravel hardstandings with 16 amp electric hook-up and space for an awning. The second enclosure (middle area) has grass pitches for fifteen tents or motorhomes, and all pitches offer sea views and electric hook-up. The upper part of this area is level and the remainder slopes gently towards the third enclosure. The third enclosure (lower area) is for tents only, and consists of a gentle slope with ten grass pitches, eight of which have electric hook-ups - and all with the very best of the magnificent sea views. There's a separate children's play area with swings and enough space for ball games, etc. - the perfect place for couples and families large or small. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Things to do on site and in the Fowey area
Polruan is an area full of ancient surprises. Narrow streets and narrower alleyways twist between the houses, and with churches dedicated to obscure Celtic saints, deeply wooded valleys and surrounding remote villages, it is perhaps no coincidence that Daphne de Maurier found Polruan an inspiration for many of her novels.
The park is also a superb base for visiting the area's most popular attractions, including the Eden Project, Polkerris, Looe, Polperro, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock, Mevagissey, and more
The site is situated at the very top of Polruan village, a mere 200 metres from the South West Coast Path, which takes you to the Great Lantic beach and Pencarrow head - and further on to the picturesque harbour town of Polperro and the very popular fishing port of Looe. The famous circular Hall Walk can be accessed a very short distance north of the park.
Polruan village is a very short walk down from the park, and the quay houses two pubs 'The Russell Inn' and 'The Lugger Inn'. The staff are very friendly, with local ales and good food at reasonable prices. The Russell Inn also offers a useful takeaway service. Elsewhere in the village you will find a small supermarket, a gift shop and a small café and tea shop.
From the quay a short passenger ferry ride takes you across to the well-known town of Fowey, with plenty more shops, more pubs, and takeaways. From there you can walk to Readymoney Cove and then further on to Polkerris, where you will find the pub on the beach 'The Rashleigh Inn'.
Hire a boat and take a trip up this magnificent stretch of the estuary to see the cormorants, egrets, mallards, swans, herons and kingfishers that call the river home. Further up you'll find the stunning village of Lerryn where the village green lies beside the water's edge. The tales of Ratty and Mole in Wind in the Willows were based on the riverbanks here.
From Fowey you can also take a boat trip to Mevagissey for a chance to see dolphins and basking sharks.
