Great location. Pretty simple site. To get into Bude, it's just a a short walk along the canal. The coastal path is a 29 minute stroll the other direction. The site was very basic. Essentially a field with a rustic shower block. No loo paper in the toilet. No hot water in the showers as the boiler had been switched off. One of the other campers turned the boiler on but the owner seemed to have come around and shut it off again! It was a freezing cold, rainy morning already and fairly muddy everywhere. To have to then take a cold shower felt pretty poor for a £40 a night site. I guess it might have been more welcoming in high season.

Close to coastal path and a beautiful peaceful walk along the canal into Bude. Very peaceful site, a lovely zen quiet space with a wildlife pond and alpacas. Hot showers and everything you need if a bit rustic!

Very happy with this campsite, just the right balance of simple and developed facilities. Great location for getting to the beach and Bude by car (5 mins) or walking (10 mins via Upton, 30 mins via canal). Good as a base for day trips, but also nice to just hang around the campsite; was a good home for a whole week of camping. Loved the eco approach to facilities- composting toilets work and regularly emptied (need to bring your own toilet paper is all); enough showers and hot water when wanted. Kids loved seeing the alpacas and cats around the secluded pond area. Not absolutely quiet - get some noise drifting up from Bude but not a problem for us - also got a great free view of fireworks one night. Worked for us with a campervan and large tent (other sites I'd looked at didn't allow both together), and provision of firebowls and firewood. Likely to visit again next time we're in the area.

Wow. Arrive and relax. Great location for doing busy life but amazing for chilling out. Very rustic, but showers always hot and the toilets were always clean. Candy was available for questions and always happy. Animals were so sweet. Veg from the veg plot were delicious. Cannot fault this site.

Lovely site, very peaceful with consideration to other campers being part of the ethos. We had lots of space for our extended family to camp. The showers were hot. It is eco, composting toilets were frequently changed and generally clean, the washing area is basic and no hot water to the washing up sinks. We had a lovey time and the fresh veg from the garden were delicious.

Basic but lovely. Really lovely chilled campsite outside of Bude. Owner very present (in a good way!) to help with any questions. Basic amenities, but enough for everyone. Lovely canal walk into Bude centre.
Great eco-camping!

The idea behind the site is great: traditional style, eco friendly camping as a break away from everyday life. With solar heated water, compost toilets, rustic charm and alpacas! It's a lot of work for one person to keep up so I reckon host (Candy) needs a maintenance hand around the place. As such the place would benefit from a bit of a reboot to get all the facilities back up and running. We had to wait an hour and a half to get checked in but used the time to orientate ourselves and meet the animals. The fact that check-in and checkout times are fully flexible is a great option and indicative of the relaxed atmosphere fostered by the host.
Great, relaxing campsite with a good vibe

This is a lovely picturesque site about a mile outside of Bude. We loved it as a relaxing base for a week of beach fun and surfing. Very kid (and dog) friendly, with lots of playmates for the 9yo in particular. Only niggle was the loos and shower...great eco credentials and lots of hot water (most of the time), but they could do with a daily clean... but don't let that put you off...

We were greeted by Candy, who was very friendly. Very spacious pitches, although quite on the slant, so sleeping wasn't the best. The toilets were regularly cleaned, unfortunately the lights didn't work when needed. Showers were nice. There was a bit of confusion the café, which is no longer there. Take enough for your stay because breakfast isn't available anymore. Highly recommend a stay here. Easy walk into Bude. We will visit again.

This is a lovely little site. Candy is a lovely host and we will defo come back. A great place to walk into Bude and drive to Widemouth Bay. Please be aware that the 10 minute stroll is to a small private beach, and the public beach is actually a 20 minute walk with a very steep track down, only for the sure footed. We still enjoyed the walk though. Hope to visit again soon.

The site is a great place to stay for a view of Bude- there's a canal path going to Bude and is an excellent mile walk.
In need of some TLC...

Good location, 5 minutes walk to the coast path or the canal path in the other direction - and then an easy walk into Bude (about 20 mins). The whole campsite is getting a bit run down down in general, in need of a deep clean and tidy up everywhere. Most of the outdoor benches and furniture are rotting and the sheds and toilets have seen better days. Grass wasn't cut on the pitches. The cafe seemed to be being used as a storage cupboard, so didn't get anything from there. The pictures on this site seem to be from a few years ago. We arrived after a bank holiday weekend so was pretty quiet, but I don't think the facilities would have held up to large numbers. Bring your own toilet roll as none is provided at all. About a quarter of the pitches are mostly flat, the rest are on a slope ranging from inconvenient to unsuitable for camping.

We enjoyed our stay at this campsite. The location was good (about a 10-15 minute walk to Bude), and the site was peaceful surrounded by lovely fields. The facilities were clean and tidy and the showers were nice and warm. There were some lovely horses and cats on site for children and animal lovers alike to enjoy. We will definitely be coming back.

We had a brilliant holiday at Cerenety. Great location for Bude and Widemouth. Fabulous vibe and fellow campers. Wonderful having our own fire pit. The solar showers were hot, the compost toilets worked a treat and were very well maintained and a recycling system was in place. Candi was friendly and helpful. We body boarded, surfed, paddle boarded, swam and walked - what's not to like - would recommend and plan to visit again.
