Silverhill Woodland Retreats is set in peaceful Silverhill Wood with plenty of space for families and couples to spread out. There are electric grass, hardstanding and super serviced pitches for campers and tourers, as well as log cabins for those wanting something a little extra. Ideally located in the Nottinghamshire countryside with walking and cycling trails directly off the site and a great pub at the end of the road.

Easy check in,hardstanding pitch easy to park, small shop for provisions, toilet, shower block very very clean, facilities for any waste,Dog walking just across the road to walk for miles, for me it was close to my son,I left early but this had nothing to do with the site, very quiet, dogs need to be on a lead, which isn't a problem, the Carnarvon pub a little walk away, can take your dog into a special area and still have a meal.Weather was not good but hopefully I will be back when it warms up.Looks and feels a very safe place for families, and Sutton in Ashfield is not far away for shopping, this was my first little trip but ideal for me.Thankyou Silverhill

Everything was absolutely spot on. A small shop selling pretty much anything you may need. The shower block was immaculate. I met 3 different members of staff and each and everyone of them was so nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you Silverhill for making our two night stay an absolute pleasure. Nigel, Mandy & Boris the dog.

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a great break. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The shower rooms were a great feature but the toilet roll holder couldn't be reached whilst sat on the toilet. Love serviced pitches and hard standing but hard standing needs to be wider for the awning.
Great place to stay fantastic for walks with the dogs

Lovely friendly welcome at reception on arrival. We were told our pitch number, however it was not suitable for our Lusso and car so we were given an alternative which was much better suited and fully serviced. The site itself is lovely - a mix of static caravans, seasonal pitches and touring pitches and very well maintained. The toilet/shower block was immaculately clean and lovely and warm, there was also a laundry room which we did not use. TV signal was good and the site's free WIFI was excellent. Across the road was the Teversal Trails, a great walk for us dog lovers. The views are amazing and our dog loved the lakes. Due to the rain, our pooch got very muddy. Thankfully there is also a dog wash on site, which was good. The Carnavon pub is 5 minutes walk, which is lovely and serves great food. Dogs are not allowed inside but there is a lovely beer garden and heated indoor seating area where they are. We enjoyed our stay at Silverhill and will be back.

We've just spent 3 nights at this site and thought it was fantastic. When we arrived the gentleman in charge was friendly and welcoming. The bathroom facilities were the best I've been to on a site. As you walked in it felt warm inside, which was nice as the weather wasn't particularly nice. Always clean, plenty of space, it was good to have a cubicle to yourself, with toilet, sink and a warm shower. Lovely family room for the little ones, couldn't get my son out of the shower. The pitches were plenty big enough and nicely spaced. A small play area suitable for toddlers and younger children. We would definitely recommend this site.

Had a lovely stay at this campsite. Our six year old loved it, and we could relax as we could see her playing on the park. Will definitely be returning.

Myself and my partner came for a quiet weekend break and wasn't disappointed. Lovely friendly staff, great pitches with hedges round which gave a cosy feeling. Shower block and toilets were lovely and very clean. Plenty of places to visit a short drive away. We visited Rufford Abbey, a lovely country park. Had a beautiful Sunday lunch at The Carnarvon pub which is in walking distance. A lovely stay!

We only had a couple of nights at this site but would recommend it! The owners were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were exceptionally clean and smart. We enjoyed the easy access dog walking trails across the road and the local pub served good food too!
