Place to stay. Toilet and shower facilities first class, and such a friendly place. Will definitely be back soon, would recommend it to anyone who I know. The site staff and facilities are first class.

Fantastic site. Lots of little touches to just make the stay better. Having fridge/freezer access, lockers with plugs in to charge phones, free washing up liquid etc. All staff lovely. Toilets and showers cleaned regularly. Spectacular views. We stayed here to do all the Northern Lakes. It's a bit far out but worth it for the comfort of the site.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. My only negative is the location, it's not really a negative, I just wish it was closer to the centre of the Lake District. But this one of the best sites I've stayed at. It's quiet, the people are lovely, the area is great (there's alpacas), the facilities are more than adequate and clean. There's not much more you could want from a campsite.

Lovely campsite. Very large pitches. Toilets, showers and washing up area was absolutely spotless. Staff very welcoming. Can't fault it. In a nice area too, with plenty to do. The only thing missing from the site would be a playground for the kids.
Beautiful overnight stop

A beautiful, well maintained, very well-thought-through campsite, a lovely warm welcome on arrival, clean and well equipped facilities blocks. The absolute stars of the show were definitely the very friendly onsite alpacas that the kids absolutely loved! thank you for a lovely stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wallace Farm. The facilities were immaculately clean, lovely hot showers and clean toilets with plenty of loo roll! There was great lighting throughout the amenity block too. The provision of a fridge and freezer for campers to store food and drinks in was very much appreciated, and even the supply of labels to make it on your food! There was also a good clean microwave, kettle and toaster, which were really useful. The tent pitch itself was slightly sloping but nothing that we couldn't deal with. The whole site was very well kept and spotless too. As the location is to the north of the main part of the Lake District, it was a lot quieter than many of the other campsites around, which was fantastic. Having a quiet rule after 9pm also gave us a decent nights sleep. We loved having a fire pit and sitting around it in the evenings, it gave a really wild camping vibe. We would definitely return to this one!

We had a great time at Wallace Lane Farm Campsite. A great base to introduce my kids to the Lake District. They now love it as much as I do. Great facilities and a really nice, large site. It never seemed too busy. The only negative I would say is that we were pitched next to what I can only think was the septic tank, which gave off a very unpleasant smell if you were downwind of it. Other than that, it was great.

An amazing, clean site. We stayed at the hot tub pitch and the pitch sizes are huge and very spaced out. Hot tub was immaculate and hot. Toilet blocks etc are kept very clean. Well worth paying that little bit extra for the hot tub. Nice little shop for those little bits you have forgotten. Will be staying here again.

Lovely site. Large dog walk area, handy shop on site and food truck. Loved our pitch with the secure hot tub whilst staying in our caravan. No complaints at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great facilities. Our site was a bit inundated with water and fallow in one location, but there was enough a space to move our tent away from the spot.

Arrived late Friday evening in our Transporter for two nights. Rung ahead to let the site know we were running late and were greeted with friendly reception staff who'd delivered our fire pit up to our pitch. Had a lovely peaceful stay here amongst like minded campers. Was located up near the top end on pitch 12 which was a bit blustery due to the wind so we parked side on to minimise this. Really do need to invest in an air windbreak which is next on the never ending camper van shopping list. Sheep with lambs in adjacent field, plenty of birdlife and alpacas down near the entrance, we had a kid free weekend but will definitely return with them. Good locations for toilets, showers and washing up points meant they were easy to navigate and due to the number weren't busy. Fantastic views over the Solway Firth from the top end and a great sunset enjoyed round the firepit. One of our better campsite finds.

Facilities were unbelievably immaculate. From showers blocks, to a huge communal fridge and freezer and WiFi! The ground was really easy to put the tent up in and the fire pit was a wonderful edition. This will definitely not be the last time we visit. Thanks again guys.

I cannot fault a single thing about this campsite! Pitches were great and spaced far enough apart that you didn't feel like you were on top of the people next to you. The facilities were the best I've seen, large individual shower rooms, separate toilets, family shower rooms ideal for people with small kids, fridges, microwave, lockers for charging your phones and spacious washing up area for dishes. I believe there's a launderette area too but we didn't use that so not 100% sure on that. There were also games for the kids to use, footballs, tennis rackets etc. The staff couldn't have been nicer, always happy to help when we had a question about directions or whatever and there's a small shop with loads of essentials you might have forgotten too. Hiring the firepit was also a great plus, kept us cosy when the kids went to bed and we wanted to stay up watch the sunset. They have a rule of quiet after 9pm and silent after 11pm and honestly it was adhered to buy everyone on site, which was great for us having 2 young kids with us! Just overall an incredible campsite, great views and nice walks, we will definitely be returning!
