Set in a beautiful location and the first night was quiet so no issues using facilities. However, Saturday was extremely busy and it then became apparent there weren't enough for the whole campsite. Not great. Also, really dirty due to the amount of traffic. Really not impressed with the cost versus the facilities.

Excellent view and lovely house but clearly starting to become run down. Toilets and showers are dirty and covered in black mould. Breakfast involved paper plates and frozen bread.

Good site with lots of people doing different things. Motorhome, caravans, their own tents and the site's bell tents.

Absolutely so disappointed ☹️ We left at 7:30am the next day giving up our second night stay. The facilities were disgusting! Used by both sexes and smelled of stale urine. The ceiling in the shower room was covered in dampness! The building inside where you ate was musty and damp smelling. The site itself was crammed with tents, yurts, caravans, motorhomes and camper vans. Definitely not enough toilet and shower facilities for that amount of people. It was overcrowded and felt like a money making scheme. The description on the website definitely does not match what you see when you arrive. Bins were overflowing also. Meals were overpriced and also a service charge added! The breakfast that was included was continental that you had to make yourself, bread for toast, tea/coffee yogurt and pastries (shop bought not fresh). Do not stay here unless you want to be overcharged for poor facilities!

Although a nice location (good for visiting lake Lochmond area or Glasgow), absolutely not a place to go camping. The 'pitches' are to close together and unorganised. Too few sanitary facilities for the people visiting and all sanitary is very unclean. Not to mention the cold showers. The place needs more taking care of.

This community has an organic & collaborative feel to it. It's an all-inclusive site - including nice hot showers, breakfast, and free tea & coffee etc through the day - just help yourself. There's meals available in the evening, which you'd need to pay for if you don't want to cook. Stay a night, stay a week, stay five months - backpacking walkers / cyclists, car & tent, "rent a tent" glamping, caravans, motorhomes, campervans - you'll find them all here. There is recharging power available in the club house, and many pitches have power outlets. Some dedicated electric car recharging points. It's nice to talk to so many of our European friends here too. Dogs are very welcome, and off-lead if well behaved. The site has a handful of chocolate Labradors including Cybil, Basil, and the adorable puppy Manuel. All very well behaved. Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend. I'll be sad to leave - and I don't like most campsites at all. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend.
Very bad experience

We spent three nights at this campsite, after having book a grassland pitch with electricity for a medium tent and payed for a medium tent, breakfast included. The location is pleasant, in a village in the far suburbs of Glasgow. However, we were very disappointed by the offered services. The campsite was over-busy, all arrivals seemed to be accepted, regardless of the available infrastructure. Half of the pitches are in an undergrowth (no grass at all), some tarpaulins being even used to limit mud problems in case of too much rain. We counted 107 occupied pitches. The breakfast was continental, jams, toasts and packaged croissants. The owner's dogs were freely roaming in the campsite, with the consequences that you can imagine. Finally, we had a very, very bad reception, simply because we politely asked for the possibility of having electricity as promised (and paid for). Our stay was during the world cycling championship period, but we don't think this is a valuable reason and the explanation of our bad experience. Consideration for the camper is clearly not a priority in this establishment. So sad to end our stay in Scotland with this bad experience while we met so many lovely people during our 2 weeks trip.

I would like to thank Andrew for accommodating everyone on the busiest weekend at the world cycling championships. His is usually a thankless task.

We were staying in the bell tent (2 people). £80 for one night and had damp bed covers, it is a bit much as after all, it's only a tent. Beautiful setting, lovely area, food rather expensive but when you've nowhere else to go, you really need to pay it.

A nice park run by nice people. Spectacular views although a lot of very narrow roads to get there a bit daunting for motor homers. However, it was worth the journey, my only complaint would be if the price of stuff in their dining room. I mean, £20 for a burger and chips and £30 for a small steak and chips. Overhaul, worth the trip but take your own food for your evening meal.

We didn't feel that this location was ready to receive guests and felt it was poorly managed. The meals provided by the chef, however, were excellent.

Although we only stayed one night we were very impressed. A very friendly site and great to see quite a few dogs around. We're just sorry we didn't bring ours with us.

This was my first solo trip I have ever done and I cannot think of a better place to do it. Everyone was very welcoming and the site was lovely with plenty of walks around. The facilities were great and the shepherds hut was such a cosy little space. I would recommend this place to anyone who just needs a break from the usual hustle and bustle of life.

Although a great deal of work was being carried out on-site at the time of our visit, the site was well maintained and our hosts were very pleasant and knowledgeable. We will be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others :-)

A great place to break your journey further north or south. After a week of remote campsites in the north, it felt like a gentle return to civilisation for us.

No one apart from the owner seems to know how to run this place. When we arrived, only the lady from the kitchen was around. Dogs everywhere. Our child and our dog were not comfortable. Electric hook-up seemed to kill the light fuse in our campervan. A tent pitch cost less than a hook-up pitch - because of electricity prices, we were told. We left the place fast, didn't want the money back, just wanted to go. Bad experience.
