Cherry Trees Farm is set on a traditional hay meadow in tranquil open countryside, set on the Northern fringes of the Lakeland Fells. There are non electric grass pitches for tent campers, or a couple of furnished pods complete with their own hot tubs. Soak up the views towards the Solway Firth and beyond from this quiet haven that still has plenty to do nearby.

Such a nice place, views are absolutely amazing, the owner so friendly and welcoming. The pod we stayed in was incredible and you have everything you need for the night, lazy spa was a nice little touch for the night. Little hard to locate at first but once you ring up you find it perfectly fine. Loved our night :)

We had an amazing time at Cherry Trees Farm - the owner was a huge help and always so friendly and happy to help with whatever we needed. The toilet and shower facilities were better than expected and the water was hot! Only problem we had with the facilities was clumps of hair and mud on the floors but that's to be expected. The site is small which we found perfect - and it was easy to move somewhere new when another group pitched really close to us. Overall would recommend this site to everyone, although you might want to do some extra planning if you don't drive as it's a bit out the way.

The pod was brilliant. Beautiful inside and really clean. The toilet and kitchen area were great and the shower was phenomenal. The weather was quite wet when we were here and this led to quite a muddy experience but other than that we would definitely recommend.

Cherry Trees Farm was a beautiful campsite in the Lake District farmland. Alan, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating, which made our stay easy. The showers were hot and the toilets and sinks were all fully functioning. It was really secluded and quiet, meaning we weren't disturbed by any other campers or neighbours at all. Our only 'issue' was that there weren't hooks in one of the two shower cubicles but that really wasn't a huge problem. I would highly recommend Cherry Trees Farm and will be booking again if we're ever near the area!

Clean toilets and hot showers. Weather was very wet, but so good to have a hot shower. The owner was really lovely and checked we were all ok. Good value for money. Only thing we could think of was a few extra hooks for hanging things whilst in the shower. One of them had hooks and the other didn't.

Great little campsite, very peaceful. We went for a quick 2 night getaway. 2 adults and 3 kids aged 15,10,& 8. Kids ran wild in the field with a polystyrene aeroplane and ball. We were the loudest group there 😉 Plenty of walks and things to do locally with a short drive. Toilets and showers, and little caravan shop selling wood, food, bits and pieces for BBQ. What more do you need for camping 😊 would definitely go back. P.S the field is an absolute suntrap🌞🏕️

Small camp site with a big welcome. The moment we arrived, Alan the owner and his friendly dog made us welcome, Alan were so helpful and approachable. The pitch is quite big, spacious and spread out to give privacy to others. The toilet and shower blocks were nice and clean. The place was so relaxing and peaceful, we were overlooking to the vast field of green. We will definitely return and stay longer next time.

Alan the host was lovely and helpful. All the basic amenities there like clean shower, toilets and washing up sink. the campsite was open and not crowded. They sold drinks and BBQ food from a caravan at very reasonable prices.

What a truly lovely place: a meadow field with plenty of space between pitches. We camped and enjoyed the far-reaching views from this peaceful, hillside location. There was a warm welcome from owner Alan and his nice dog, and the chance to buy food for breakfast. I was so glad we did as the local bacon, fresh eggs and croissants were delicious. It's fine to have a campfire, with wood on sale too. The wash block was clean and comfortable. The meadow was a delight, with wildflowers - we even spotted a vole scurrying past. Campers use tracks cut through the grass to get the full experience…no hard tarmac here. The field is enclosed by hedges, with a horse and glamping accommodation to one side. The site was easily accessed from the motorway and it was an easy drive into Keswick, Carlisle and to the hills, lakes and coast. Owner Alan went above and beyond for us when we had a spot of car drama (is it even camping without a bit of a story?!). And I'm sure he does the same for anyone needing advice or help. So you're in safe hands. It's easy just to relax and enjoy the calm surroundings. All in all, this site is amazing value and perfect for a getaway.
Fantastic! Would stay again

Lovely surrounding areas and just a short drive from some classic lakes walks, this campsite was a great find. Although I was sceptical of the shower at first, it was so refreshing and I now want my own! The owner was so kind, very attentive and friendly with all guests - on our first morning, our car had sunk into the mud following some heavy rain and he very kindly towed me out. Had a great time, fully recommend!!

We are just starting off on the old camping game, and we struck a winner on our first site. First off, we loved that the campsite is relatively small, population wise. Whilst we were there, there was only another 5 tents pitched up max. This suited us as we were really looking for somewhere quiet. The facilities were good and clean, and because there wasn’t that many other campers there was no waiting for toilets or shower. There was a toilet and shower block, nice warm water which was welcomed as the weather was a little dull to say the least, and also a caravan to use and has electricity also, as well as a portaloo, so no chance of getting caught short. The host, Alan, is honestly a great guy. He makes you feel welcome right off the bat, and does so much to make your stay comfortable. We had a small camping stove to cook on however the weather was turning, and we must’ve generally just looked a bit clueless, Alan hooked some gas up to the stove in the caravan and said we could use that if needed. Thankfully we managed our steaks on our little stove but it was a nice touch, genuinely kind. We enjoyed our stay at Cherry Trees Farm, and will definitely be going there again. For some it may be a little far away from shops etc, but for us we loved it, gorgeous views and a bit of peace and quiet. Can’t beat it! Thank you very much Alan!
