Cherry Trees Farm is set on a traditional hay meadow in tranquil open countryside, set on the Northern fringes of the Lakeland Fells. There are non electric grass pitches for tent campers, or a couple of furnished pods complete with their own hot tubs. Soak up the views towards the Solway Firth and beyond from this quiet haven that still has plenty to do nearby.

The communication from the people on site was exceptional. On the way to the campsite we received an upgrade due to the state of the field (due to weather), so we stayed in a pod. The pod had a heater which was great for the cold night, and the views in the morning were amazing! It had private cooking space, separate from the bed, it also had a toilet and shower.
Would highly recommend!

Lovely pod and welcoming host - had all the amenities we needed and more! Enjoyed the views and stargazing in the hot tub, and was exactly what we needed as an overnight stop on a long journey.
Great location, great site!

A remote site 850ft up a hill and 3-4 miles from the nearest village. Great views towards High Pike and Carrock Pike, but can feel a bit bleak when the sun's not shining. Hoped for a peaceful weekend but strimming/mowing started at 8.30am on Sunday morning and continued until we left, so no chance of a lie in.

Looked to take my son on an impromptu trip to do some paddle-boarding and walking in the lakes. Given the time of year, finding a site with space in the most popular areas of the Lakes was a challenge. I then found Cherry Trees Farm campsite. Location was just outside the National Park and about 25 minutes drive to the paddle-boarding location on Ullswater. The site was nice and remote and quiet. Myself and son arrived around 20:00, pitched our tent and made some food before settling down for the night. The toilet and shower block was unique but clean and functional and had an area outside to wash our dishes. The next morning we got up, washed, breakfast and then went off paddle boarding on Ullswater. Return to the site on the afternoon I was surprised when an ice cream van turned up and we both enjoyed a lovely ice cream. We then went for an hours walk before coming back, making food and then made use of the provided fire pits to relax in front of the fire and make s'mores. We ended the evening in the tent where we watched a film on the iPad. The next morning we packed up, made breakfast and headed home. This turned out to be an ideal site for what we wanted and we had a great weekend.

Beautiful location. Very quiet campsite, fields well kept. The toilet and shower block was communal and the only thing I didn't really like was that the shower only had a curtain not a door for when you are undressing/dressing. Saying that I would still visit again as very good value for money.

This place is incredible! I booked a pod for my boyfriend's birthday and had spoken to Alan to see if he could do some banners and a card and he went above and beyond for us! With banners, balloon, card and a cake with candles! He has just thought of everything down to a T, the fire pit, the chairs and table, toilet/ shower kitchen block and all the utensils, pans and cooker that comes with it. The jacuzzi was amazing too. We even got to see the northern lights last night which just topped the stay off! I would recommend this place to everyone and I am already looking when we can book this again. 10/10!!!

Simple amenities, a field with water facilities, showers and toilets. Hot water wasn't working for pot washing when we were there. Could have done with a small seat in the showers as it was a balancing act getting a shower. Still welcome to get a shower after 9 hours of walking in the heat and fells. Owner saw us trying to locate the field in the pitch black and guided us. Thanks.

I booked this as a short honeymoon break for my son and his new bride. Alan the owner went above and beyond to make the place look stunning for them and even left them a congrats card with wine and beautiful flowers. The views around are beautiful and if you love peace and quiet then this is definitely the place for you. They have loved every minute of their stay here and would definitely recommend it.

Nice little campsite. We had most of the camp to ourselves. A bit muddy but that’s part of camping. Hot showers and clean toilets. Will definitely go again.

Arrived two days late, but welcomed. Wonderful views, handy location at north end of Lake District. Facilities absolutely basic (as expected) a bit "Heath Robinson" but clean! Made the best of sodden field, British weather!?
