A great place to stay, pity the weather was very windy and wet! Pleasant location, very good hosts and a good pub across the road from the site.

We had a great 2 night stay, there was a pub right opposite the site entrance. The bus stop was right opposite the site entrance, we had a lovely afternoon / evening in Guisborough town. A lovely site and views even though it is still being developed, will definitely be revisiting in the near future

The views of Roseberry from this site are stunning! We stayed here for a birthday weekend. The guys here couldn't be more accommodating, they gave us lots of information for our stay, including walking routes and where to grab a bite and drinks. They even managed to upgrade us to a hot tub pitch at the drop of a hat! The toilet facilities are immaculate, a little cold for October months, but there is a heater in there. You can walk straight from the site into Guisborough via some public footpaths, or further on towards Roseberry itself. Guisborough is a 5 min drive, and has plenty of pubs, bars, cafes and supermarkets, and Stokesley is a 30 min drive away, which is a lovely little village. We will definitely be staying again.

Had a weekend stay here at the site. Received a very warm welcome on arrival. The pitch we were allocated was great. Happy to visit and stay again, hopefully the bar will be open for a pint or 3.

What a beautiful relaxing place to stay. 360 degrees of stunning scenery. The excellent facilities are immaculate and the friendly staff are always on hand and nothing was too much for them. Roseberry topping is directly in front of every plot and lodge. We cannot wait to return asap. Very highly recommend place

Clean, convenient and welcoming. No hesitation to book again if ever in the area. Food at the Cross Keys was excellent.

A lovely new site with hard-standing pitches all with EHU. Only some have water but you can fill up at the main office before you set up. The owner, Denise is lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Overall, a lovely site, which also caters for tents and caravans and also boasts some Pods and Lodges, the latter with hot tubs. There is a toilet block with showers and a disabled toilet and shower section. Really nice!

Whilst visiting on tour from Ireland, we stayed at this lovely campsite in a rural location with great views. Very clean and tidy. Great spacious pitches. Good toilet/shower facilities. Lovely friendly lady met us on our arrival and explained all the facilities to us and was very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Our first visit with our caravan and we've already booked for another weekend in a few weeks' time. It's only been open 11 months or so but the site is settling down nicely with large pitches set level on gravel. Toilets and showers all good. It is set off a busy road but we never noticed any traffic noise. Lovely view to Roseberry Top. A pub doing decent food just across the road. Briefly met the owners. Nice people. Totally recommend.

This site has not long opened. Its location just off the main road makes access easy. It is near the foot of Rosberry Topping and is beautiful, but quite exposed. There are clearly a number of trees planted which will add future cover. That said we stayed the night of Storm Ciaran and had a good night's sleep. The shower block was clean and there was plenty of hot water. Overall had all the cavities you need and a good location to explore North Yorkshire/Cleveland. Offers pods and log cabins too.

Very first time caravanning so kept it local. Fantastic views over to Roseberry Topping and Eston Hills. Site owner, Ged, was very friendly and offered his assistance if we struggled with setting up, but we managed okay. A couple of miles from Guisborough and approx 17 miles from historic Whitby. A fantastic base to use if wanting to explore all that the North Yorkshire Moors offers and only 6 miles to Redcar.

Medium tent with electric hook-up for £42. Great location with stunning views of Roseberry Topping. The owner was very polite and friendly. The park was lovely, with nice clean toilet/shower facilities. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that I thought it was a bit pricey for one night.

Lovely little campsite. We stayed for 1 night as a tester for our first night camping with our toddler. The facilities were great and very clean. The park was a lovely addition to keep the little one entertained, lovely view of Roseberry Topping. The owner was also great, welcoming and offering advice of what's around. We will definitely be back!

Arrived at the site to a friendly welcome at the reception by the site owner/manager. The staff couldn't do enough for you, and were always on or around the site working away. Which is great for security when you go off for the day, as we did. There was a mobile bar and entertainment one night of our stay that was absolutely brilliant. Everyone got along really well, other site users were all really friendly and was it seemed like the whole site turned out and were enjoying the night. Facilities were clean and regularly serviced throughout the day and that was the case for every day of our stay. There's a nice little adventure park for kids to play on. There is a pub 5 minutes walk away, but it does involve crossing a dual carriageway to get to it. That said, it is easily manageable with care and caution. All in all, not a single complaint about the site and great location for the hiking we did over the 6 days of our stay. We would definitely recommend this site, be it for families with kids, or for adult only groups.

We are first time campers, so we chose this site because it looked like it had everything we needed for the night to try out our new tent, and wasn't too far to travel. I read the reviews, which were mixed, but I have to say that we weren't disappointed. The site itself is still undergoing some building work but the basics were of exceptional standard. The shower/toilet/dishwashing block was immaculate. There's water taps dotted around, and EHU too. We pitched on the quieter side of the site next to the lodges (which aren't quite finished, but look amazing). There's an excellent little park and plenty of open space for children to play. The gravel road is right around the site and a 'one way', so it's great for safety. Really easy check in and out. The staff are absolutely fantastic and there most of the time. The pub is across a very busy dual carriageway but well worth a visit. The food is delicious. There's a lovely walk just over a little bridge on the campsite and up through a field to a gravel path. We didn't walk all the way along, so have no idea where it went to, but it was lovely all the same. Plenty of space to exercise your furry friends too. (Keep them on a lead at the site). The only downside was that there was a license for music that weekend, but it finished at 11pm. On the whole, people were very respectful of the no music after 11pm rule. The site was very busy, so maybe could benefit from a toilet/shower/dishwashing block on the other side of the site too. Also might benefit from numbered pitches, so the tents weren't so close together (unless you wanted them to be) Overall, it's a well thought-out site that's easily accessible, and has the potential to be brilliant once all of the work is finished. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it (just check there's no music the weekend you are going if that's not your thing).
Site's response
Thank you for your great feedback. We are looking to expand on showers/toilets etc in the future. Although our tent pitches are not numbered, they are marked out with wooden beams to ensure people have their own individual pitch. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you back. Thank you, Wyke Lodges

Loved our stay here and looking forward to coming again next year. Good location, nice clean toilet, shower and washing up area. Kids loved the play park and we had a pitch right next to it so was great. Had a mobile bar and music, which was lovely and an unexpected bonus!
