Budle Bay Campsite is a five minute walk from Budle Bay, close to Lindisfarne and Holy Island. The village of Bamburgh is just five minutes down the road, with sand dunes, beautiful beaches and its famous historic castle. Grass and hardstanding pitches are available for tents and tourers, with a range of glamping huts on offer too. Enjoy glorious dark skies with nearby boat trips taking you to the Farne Islands, home to puffins in the summer!

A great place to stay with lots of hard standings for winter use. The owner very accommodating and helpful, thanks for the loan of the torch.

Nice little place, a great location and really friendly staff. A few bits of the park left unfinished, could be time of the season though. Can't wait to come back in the spring
Nice stay, good location!

Lovely site, plenty of spaces in general, although pitches are quite close together. Friendly staff. Facilities could be cleaner!

A lovely campsite, in a great location. However due to our motor home springing a leak, we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked to.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, ideally located to visit Holy Island, Bamburgh and Seahouses. The showers and toilets were clean enough, pitches are quite close together but it wasn’t full when we visited so we had a bit more space.

Hard to find any fault with this campsite. It was all good.
Really disappointing

Really disappointing. Cramped and dated site. Everything looked really tired and needed updating. The showers and toilets were not particularly clean either. They are spending money adding additional facilities but they should update their old stuff first. The staff were friendly so no complaints there.
A good spot for exploring the area

Nice location with lovely night skies, friendly staff. Not as clean as some of the sites we've been to at similar cost, but adequate for a couple of nights. Short drive in to Bamburgh and Seahouses where's there's plenty to see and good fooderies. Fabulous Pizza Company close to the site, but recommend you pre-order!

We stayed in this great little site for a few nights, in a beautiful area, access from the campsite to the England coast path, Lindisfarne one way, Bamburgh the other, amazing views over wild countryside and the sea. We stayed in number 9, the Puffin cabin, very basic but had all you needed - a fridge, seating area, microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 single beds, plus a double & single mattress on the floor in the back room. Perfectly fine for a few nights. Could do with a shelf above kettle area for storage and black out blinds/curtains, also a better fitting front door (or draught excluder). It was situated in a quiet spot overlooking a few tents and mobile homes, to the right of the toilets/showers, with a key to a private kitchen area. There was also a communal area with washing up sinks/large fridges to store named items. We headed out to Bamburgh for the day along the Coast path, always worth a visit, and enroute back we stopped off at the Pizza hut next to the campsite to order some food. They we rushed off their feet but squeezed us in to pick up two pizzas 45 minutes later, and wow, they are delicious. Make sure to pre book to not miss out! Our orders were a Holy Pepperoni and a Vegan Margarita. I would stay here again.

Lovely place to stay. It's not the poshest campsite, but excellent location. The toilets and showers were very clean, even when really busy! The staff were very friendly and helpful, any problems were resolved very quickly.

Where do we start?! This was our 2nd camping trip as new campers and we have without a doubt fallen in love and found our new favourite campsite and second home. Northumberland in itself is a very special place to us and this campsite has added to that. The staff upon entry were absolutely lovely, very accommodating and helpful. We were provided with a map of the site, which gave us a giggle with the illustrations and was very helpful in finding everything we needed. We opted for the XL Riverside pitch with an electric hook-up, and I was made up with the actual size of the pitch itself, meaning we could park next to the tent. The grounds are very well cared for and looked after, the grass pitch was easy for us to pitch the tent in and the grass (as we witnessed during out stay) is kept tended to. The facilities on the site are cleaned every day, with washing up, toilets, showers, basins and additional mirror and electrical outlets, they have everything you would need for your stay. They also offer a selection of shopping goods in the shop including fire wood, kitchen roll, tent pegs and refrigerated drinks. The river behind our pitch was lovely to listen to and practically sent us to sleep every night listening to it. We found it got pretty cold after the sun started to set, but this was because the large trees behind our pitch were blocking the sunlight from coming through. The site itself is next door to Bamburgh and Seahouses, to which you can turn right twice out of the site and be greeted with the lovely view of Bamburgh Castle. The phone signal isn't great but is useable and the clear skies of a night time gave us plenty of star gazing, which was beautiful as there is barely any light pollution on this site. Behind the site, there is a fantastic homemade pizza truck owned by a lovely mother and son. You can access it on foot through a gate near the front entrance, which adds extra value to the site as they were chefs kiss pizzas and a lovely pair. Overall this site is beautiful and we have nothing to fault. The location is great, the facilities are brilliant, the staff are so friendly and even the fellow campers were lovely and everyone felt friendly.

A good stop over site for one night but would not want to stay longer. Would recommend as stop over location only.

Where to start, our motorhome only just fit on the hardstanding. We wouldn't have had space to put our awning up, not least as the trees branches where over hanging, The site has cabins, tents, motorhomes, caravans. I feel that this site needs a revamp with much more space allocated to your pitch. Felt very cramped and the pitch next door had a tent, was only 15 inches from our van. People are friendly, tuck shop, and play area for children. We used as a stop over, that was ok, but if you're going for a few days, could become very cramped, bins and toilets all fine. Just too many vehicles for the site.

Great location, terribly looked after. We had to pay an extra £5 as all pitches were taken, so they had to put us next to the river (stream). Don't see why an extra charge? Grass unkempt, no lighting around the site, noisy on site and very basic wash facilities. Felt like a festival campsite. Will not return.

Easy to find, walking distance to coast, good pizza hut next to site. Cleaning a bit hit and miss, gone-off stuff left in fridges.
Disappointing

Stayed 3 nights. Staff were friendly. Site fine if you like the feeling of being in a goldfish bowl with vans on both sides, in front of you and people outside the huts on higher ground looking down on you. No screening or hedges. Long rows of vans (9 or 10) with grass between. Hardstanding very good. Plenty of drinking water and electric hook-up points. Cars, vans and people coming by all the time as a 1 way system in operation. Toilets clean but toilet brushes disgusting. Lots of toilet paper. Showers with no undressing or dressing area and clothes and shoes get splashed. Water warm and okay. Good geographical area. Rode bikes to Bamburgh and castle, and easy 15 mins by car to Seahouses for Farne Island boat trips. However, we will not return to this site.

Brilliant location for walking to the beach - can get to Bamburgh along coast path in a 90 minute stroll. River on site, which is pretty. Dog friendly and plenty of showers with good water pressure. A big site with lots of caravans that have been put up for the season, which makes the site look a bit untidy but if you are near the river you can avoid seeing them. Staff friendly and nice little shop.
