Only stayed for one night to test our 'new to us' caravan. Lovely location, right by the river. Grass pitches were too wet to use so we were put on tarmac, no problems at all. Clean toilets and washing area, would thoroughly recommend.

Only downside was that there were no hardstanding pitches, which we were aware of prior to arrival. But with our heavy motorhome, this would have meant 5 stars.

Camp was ideally situated near Hamble. Pitch was a little soft and waterlogged and there was no hardstanding area for Motorhomes. Facilities were good and very clean. Staff were okay, the welcome and service was okay, nothing wrong but compared to other sites we have visited, I felt it fell short on customer service.

Lovely place. Super clean facilities. Restaurant close by in the Marina. A bit pricey but the food was good. Would have gone twice but they only had a Veggie option. 20 minute walk to a whole host of good restaurants in Hamble. 2 Nights was enough without a car. Probably more we could have done if planned, but this was a spur of the moment booking, just to extend the holidays. Just about got there before the 8pm close, but couldn't see why we couldn't have still entered the site after that time as there was no barrier. Understand that people have got to go home, but if running late but definitely going to be there, just check us in on the phone and tell us the pitch. Would have made the journey down a little less hectic. Having said that, great place, staff were very helpful and definitely on the list for another visit.

Lovely location right next to the yacht marina and easy access to various places such as Netley and the M27. Toilet and shower block were first class and spotlessly clean. Can't praise facilities highly enough. Check in was very simple and the staff very friendly. Lots of room per pitch and we found a quiet corner tucked behind reception that was lovely and peaceful - just what we wanted. The yacht club has a fantastic bar with a balcony that overlooks the marina. We didn't eat there but food did look good and smelt lovely. The only drawback was the grass where the tents were positioned was quite long in places and with the dew in the mornings, it got very wet. It seemed the wet grass attracted mites and we came away with a few bites on our lower legs. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Very good site

2nd weekend in a row at Mercury Harbour. A great location. Many others there were repeat customers, so what better a recommendation. Facilities are spotless. The site was full this weekend, but still quiet and relaxing. This is on our go-to list for last minute weekends away, as so close to home, yet in another world.
Very pleasant indeed!

We first visited this site many years ago, and boy, has it changed! The warm welcome starts off your stay, along with vouchers for a complimentary drink at the Gaff Rigger, which is a few yards away across the massive car park, alongside the marina. You can't get a better welcome than that! We enjoyed our drink, along with lunch at the Gaff Rigger, whilst admiring all the water craft, and watching the goings on in the marina. We also had an evening meal of fish and chips there, which was very tasty. Only downside is that dogs are only allowed on the outside terrace, which would preclude all campsite dog owners from using the restaurant/bar in cold or inclement weather, because dogs can't be left alone in camping units. On site facilities are absolutely excellent. One large building houses all domestic needs - toilets, showers, washing up, laundry, chemical and waste disposal. Each area is sparkling clean and very well appointed. Each of the toilets and showers are individually accessed from outside, so there's no big communal room full of cubicles. 4 toilets each for male and female, and two showers for each. Shower rooms are amazingly huge, and each have a sink and hairdryer. Just one slightly negative comment to make - the water is far too hot! The water temperature is already set, so can't be regulated individually. I struggled to tolerate it, as did my husband, who does have the water much hotter than I do, generally. We certainly would never shower a child in water that hot. The weather was baking during our stay, but thankfully, our pitch was under the shade of a huge tree for a good part of the day. Those with dogs will be glad that there is a small woodland alongside the site, where plenty of sniffs can be enjoyed, and even a paddle/swim in the river. If your dog doesn't have good recall, I would keep them on a lead though, as in the centre of the wood is a widespread, mud quagmire and the only thing this great site doesn't have is a dog wash! When mo-ho-ing, we generally leave our big old girl pitched up, and either walk or use buses to get around. There nearest bus is about a mile and a half away, along an easy route. Hamble-le-Rice village square has several places to eat, with plenty of choice. We recommend Pirate pasties for a snacky lunch! Hamble Common is just off the village and is a great place to let dogs run free, and to access the river from the beach for a paddle or a swim. All in all, this was a lovely short break, and I'm sure we will visit Mercury Yacht Harbour and Holiday Park again, one day :)

Lovely setting, was convenient for dropping friends off for the channel ferry because of the rail strike. Nice restaurant overlooking the bay. It was a bit pricey. Lovely looking at all the yachts and dreaming.

We stayed here last week for my daughter's first time camping. We only live 20 mins away, so know the area. We had a very warm welcome with complimentary drink at the Gaff Rigger a short walk away. We ended up eating there and it was great. We returned for breakfast on our last day which was also really good. The campsite was very clean and quiet. The facilities are great, well lit toilets, room for washing up with supplies, iron, ironing board and laundry facilities. The weather was really bad, no fault of the campsite! But we had a nightmare trying to get all our wet gear packed up. They were understanding and let us take the dry stuff home before returning to bundle up all the wet gear.

Excellent campsite in a wonderful location next to the harbour. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed a meal at the Gaff Rigger, which is a few minutes walk. All the facilities were of a very high standard and maintained daily. Would recommend and we will be back!

This is an excellent campsite which is clean, friendly and has a great location so i would certainly recommend it. My only issue is that we booked a plot for a campervan with an awning (which we have done on a number of other sites) and a guy called Andy, who was very friendly when we arrived, helped us find a great location and all was good for 2 of our 3 nights. Then there was a change of shift, and another guy on site (who had taken over from Andy) came to see us and asked us if we were sleeping in the awning or campervan. There was 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children aged 8, 10 & 13) so I explained me and my wife are in the campervan and the kids are in the awning, which has bedrooms. To this, he explained that we weren't allowed to do this and we had to make a decision which one we were sleeping in due to fire regulations, I explained politely that we couldn't all fit in one of them, to which he said we couldn't stay as the definition of an awning is to provide cover, and not to provide sleeping accommodation, which I argued. He went away to get his manager but apparently he had gone home, so he allowed us to stay our last night. I am not sure what would have happened if this guy was on site at the beginning of our stay and when we left, there were other families with caravans and awnings with sleeping accommodation, so not sure what happened. If you are staying at this site with a campervan/caravan and awning with bedrooms, then I would suggest checking this before you book.

A very well maintained park, with a complimentary free drink voucher on arrival to redeem in the yacht club. Great value for money and the staff were very helpful.

A lovely campsite, a 20 minute walk from the centre of the village of Hamble, which has a little supermarket and several pubs. A large Tesco is a couple of miles or so away in the opposite direction. Site is adjacent to the Yacht Club's car park which is obviously right next to the river. Spacious pitches, individual, spotless toilets and showers (at all times of the day), hot water for washing up, again area always exceptionally clean. Site manager was friendly and helpful. An immaculate little site, would highly recommend.
