This is an independent family-run and family-friendly campsite. Situated on the popular Llyn Peninsula, the site has impressive views of Bardsey Island, Snowdonia, and Cardigan Bay in addition to the Cilan headland it sits on. Its secluded setting bordering farmland and the peninsula's National Trust-owned headland makes it perfect for families seeking out tranquillity, as well as nature lovers. It has pitches for caravans and tents on grass with electric hook-ups available on request. Dogs are permitted with prior approval.

Things to do on site and in the Abersoch area
Right next door to Hen Siop y Mynydd is Cilan Riding Stables, for those looking for horse riding adventures, while the Welsh Coastal Path is just 200 metres from the campsite, and passes through stunning beaches and unspoilt Welsh landscapes.
The National Trust-owned peninsula headland is also a fine place for walking, and is the breeding ground for a number of species of bird, including the cormorant.
The nearest beach is the beautiful expanse of Hell's Mouth beach, popular with families looking to relax on the sand and with surfers alike. Abersoch beach is also not far away, with tuition available from many of the surf shops in Abersoch.
The village also boasts its own sailing school for families looking to try their hand at the helm, while sightseeing trips are also available from the attractive harbour to Bardsey Island, a continued site of pilgrimage where 20,000 saints are said to be buried.
The waters of Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula are also popular with fishing fans, offering a choice of open sea, coastal, river, and lake fishing. Tackle and bait are available at Abersoch Angling.
The spectacular peaks of Snowdonia National Park are also only an hour's drive away, and visible from Hen Siop y Mynydd.
