Things to do on site and in the Porthmadog area
The sprawling sandy beach adjacent to the park is ideal for bathing, boating and water sports or just paddling in the soft waves. The site has private access to the beach via a footpath for guests to enjoy very easy access.
Children will spend many happy hours playing on the rocks and in the rock pools skirting the beach. On windy days, it's the perfect spot for flying a kite or skimming rocks.
Criccieth Castle is a lovely day out for all the family. Built originally by Llywelyn the Great, it now hosts festivals and events throughout the year.
The entire Llyn Peninsula is full of glorious bays and charming fishing villages. One of the best is Borth-y-Gest, or you could get back to nature at the Traeth Glaslyn nature reserve in Minffordd.
Top attractions in the area include:
- Snowdonia National Park
- Stunning beaches at Porthmadog
- The golf course in Morfa Bychan, which allows casual membership
- Horse riding
