About EcoPod Holidays

The five pods are set spaciously within an orchard of a hundred different fruit trees in a 10 acre meadow with a woodland backdrop and snaking pathways linking the EcoPods together. Truly a great place to relax and unwind. There are so many different birds, there are local buzzards like red kites, woodpeckers, mistle thrush, and ravens that you could be in an episode of Spring Watch. Once you get here you are welcome to walk around the 100 acre farm, there is a short onsite walk for little ones and a longer 5-pub walk for those with longer legs and exploring nature. The glamping site is totally off-grid and was supported by the Peak District National Park through an Environmental Economy grant from the EU.

A note from the site themselves...

Believe it or not, I have built all the EcoPods myself, and it has taken a long time. Recycling has been a passion and all the EcoPods have recycled wood and reclaimed materials inside and the exterior finished with local Larch cladding.

Back in 2001, we gained a New Environmental Economy grant delivered through the Peak District National Park and our workshop in close to Peak Waste and they know me well there, and have been in all the finished EcoPods.

I love the site, I just like being here and everyone who comes loves it too. The enchanted woods, sounds of birds and nature completely absorb you. You can lie all day in the dappled light from the leaves and remember your childhood when there was nothing to do but daydream...anyways, enough about me. See you soon!
